Agreed and to add to this, why should we stay to fulfill some obligation if we do see anything to continue to stick around for.I'd say so. Why stick around if there's nothing to stick around for?
Literally. I don't owe the world or other people anything. I have no obligation to anything or anyoneAgreed and to add to this, why should we stay to fulfill some obligation if we do see anything to continue to stick around for.
What's the point of living if I feel bored and empty inside? I'm always bored to the point where I'm chronically online and on this website. Nothing about real life interests me. I hate life and the real world, it's so boringThat's quite a philosophical question. Suicide is very personal, so if you are convinced of wanting to die because of boredom, then i guess it is reasonable.
Some people would say that boredom is important, because it is the thing that forces you to have ideas to do something and alleviate your boredom, think of a child that is bored and starts making up games/playing with other kids/any other activity. In fact, there seems to be less and less boredom in peoples life, much to their detriment, everyone can just scroll and consume their boredom away.
For example, seeking something that will not make you feel bored and empty inside. What's the point of living if I feel bored and empty inside?
Well that's why I'm terminally online lolFor example, seeking something that will not make you feel bored and empty inside.
Valid, maybe you'll find something very coolWell that's why I'm terminally online lol
Life is so much effort for little reward. There's no payoff in my opinion. I don't get anything out of all of my struggleI can relate to such a feeling. I sometimes just think that nothing in life would be worth living and that summed with the pain and despair it all just seems even just too boring to be worth to stick around, felt...
I've also closed myself off from the world to a large extent, but I don't see anything to like about it. I also believe that the world lacks magic. I prefer fantasy to reality. In my opinion, boredom is the result of problems, not the cause. If someone is healthy and has the financial means, they probably won't be bored. I am also often bored with the world, but this is mainly because I have closed myself off from the world to a large extent. However, I believe that the world lacks "magic". I really like fantasy worlds, so that's probably why I think so.
I don't think so. I'm chronically bored, yet I'm healthy and have the means to do a lot of things that others can't.In my opinion, boredom is the result of problems, not the cause. If someone is healthy and has the financial means, they probably won't be bored.
Yeah, imagine a world where we could've been able to augment how things are with our own thoughts or be able to create worlds of our own making, places we could just go off to whenever we want to unplug from here.I've also closed myself off from the world to a large extent, but I don't see anything to like about it. I also believe that the world lacks magic. I prefer fantasy to reality.
I don't know you, but it's probably because you're sick like most of us here. You have a distorted view of reality. Just like me and others. However, it can also be completely different. Maybe we are healthy and others are sick? Perhaps the disease removes the "rose-colored glasses" from our heads, thanks to which we see the world as it is? Of course, this is a philosophical interpretation. Not necessarily scientific.I've also closed myself off from the world to a large extent, but I don't see anything to like about it. I also believe that the world lacks magic. I prefer fantasy to reality.
Sometimes there may be exceptions. When I say sick, I also mean mental health. Of course, I don't know you, so I don't know your situation.I don't think so. I'm chronically bored, yet I'm healthy and have the means to do a lot of things that others can't.
