Is it really this expensive to get an inert gas to use?

I've been reading through the Peaceful Pill handbook and I finally got to the part on inert gases. It gave me a link to the CyberWeld website, which only sells argon. And the cost to buy the tank alone is around $328! After taxes it would probably be around $360. Is there not a better option, because I don't have much money for this. All the other pills and sedatives recommended are illegal to purchase, so this was my best option. At most, I could spend around $160 for the gas itself. Is there another supplier I could use?

You wouldn't be buying from them, and you wouldn't be buying argon. You'd be buying from the supplier geographically closest to you and you'd be picking it up yourself (most places don't deliver). Suppliers are everywhere and are not hard to find, however I don't think you can get everything necessary for a gas setup for much less than that. My nitrogen tank was $285, plus a regulator/flowmeter and exit bag supplies, the total was about $330.
