OK so it's a line from Oasis's 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' but for me it kind of rings true. I joined this site in May, 13 months into abstinence. Since I went back to the 'demon drink' in June my desire to ctb has just got less and less.

But that's just me. A textbook alcoholic perhaps but fuck me does it give me motivation...

sometimes drink and/or drugs give you a reason to carry on, obviously it's not a simple or perfect solution.

Being wasted, whether it is drugs or alcohol, makes life much better for me at least. Until a certain point, where it starts controlling your life, then it gets bad.

The truly (maybe only) happiest moments in my life has been on drugs, MDMA or LSD.

For me, the problem with alcohol, is the shitty day after. Weed is way better for me, I actually feel good the day after.

Hope I didn't misunderstand your post, kinda drunk, haha. And go Bojack, best drunk ever!

when I was a kid like the 80s,90s adults always had a drink in there hand like gin and tonic, whisky and soda stuff like that, then when I went to college they all had bars and we would have a pint at break and when I had my first jobs it was a pint at lunch it was a time when it just seemed normal then it just disappeared.

I drank all my life and now suffer the chronic health complications that come with prolonged alcoholism. I stopped for four years as my life went down the pan. Now I'm having a bottle of wine a week because it is the only thing that makes me feel alive. That's not right, and I wish it wasn't so, but hey.
