  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

you can't be happy 24/7 it's just a temporary emotion life has its ups and downs therefore it's better to be dead than be toyed with emotionally

Honestly? Depending on what kind of happiness you mean, my idea of happiness isn't just joy or "feeling good", its also a feeling of being content, stable, and safe both now and in the future.

I think a lot of people here would rather feel happy than being dead, so i'd say: If I could live a life with the aforementioned things and no intense suicidality, i'd choose to be alive and happy rather than dead.

Objectively it's not important whether we are happy or not bc after we are dead it doesn't matter and we can'tr take anything with us onto the other side - nothing! Subjectively it's a lot more complex!

Everyone is dead at some point. If you can have a mostly happy life or at least one you are glad to have lived before that, good for you. I think that is good. I don't think it's better or worse, they are different things, just good if you get to have one before the other.

If you are happy 24/7, then you probably wouldn't be thinking about death, so then I guess it would be better to be happy and alive. But it's just not possible to always be happy, and when you don't exist, it doesn't matter what would have happened if you were alive and happy, so I would say it is better to be dead.

I would rather be Dead

By many times

I was Dead for 13.8 billion years before they birthed me into this hell

I didn't have any problems for any second of those 13.8 billion years before they imposed this torture upon me called life

Very big problems began for me only after I was born

That reminds me of that quote—is it better to speak or to die? The kind of binary that's not really a binary at all, but a reflection of how limited the choices can feel when you're cornered.
If happiness were consistently available, it wouldn't even be a question. But when you're locked out of that state for long enough, the decision stops being philosophical and starts being logistical.
It's not about choosing death over happiness. It's about what you do when happiness is no longer on the table and hasn't been for a long time.

Thus, dead.

I'd personally always prefer to not exist no matter what, to me there is no such thing as happiness, I see existing as only being suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured and I suffer simply from being conscious in this futile, torturous existence that I never would had chosen and I personally always saw as a mistake, for me non-existence truly is all I see as positive, I find it so deeply undesirable to exist and I wish I was never forced to suffer more than anything. To me existence truly is an abomination that just causes so much harm and suffering there was never a need for until all is finally gone and forgotten in non-existence anyway and it's all just so dreadful to me, I find it terrifying how a human can suffer for so long in this existence just to die in agony from old age, only non-existence can bring me the peace I search for from the cruelty and suffering of existing.

Happiness is very elusive emotion. It doesnt last forever, even if you are super rich.

i wish i was allowed to be happy. but happiness is a temporary and distracting state of mind. death is eternal. my life was a mistake from birth. happiness was never an option in the first place nor something i've ever truly felt.

Unfortunately, happiness and good do not exist, and suffering does. So dead.

From the beginning of this year I have felt joy for zero seconds. I do not want to suffer like this. I would choose death.
