It seems that among youth, even very small children that there has been successful hangings. My question is how hard can it really be to do a successful hanging? I'm trying to CTB as soon as possible, I don't have much time to perfect a method. I am just wondering how hard it can really be if even children can perfect it

Not difficult to do just a little tricky to have it not feel like you're suffering. The quickest is with a "long drop", this was the method used in judicial hangings, the goal is to break the neck for a near instant death. Since most people don't have a gallow, the other hanging methods rely on cutting the supply of oxygen to the brain. The goal here is to constrict the carotid artery and lose consciousness quickly. You'll have to ensure you'll not be discovered for as long as possible to ensure death. If you're saved before 100% brain dead, you'll have permanent damage and be in a worse position than you are now. If your carotid artery isn't constricted, you'll strangle yourself which is painful and relatively slow.

If you do full suspension you only need to make sure the rope can hold you, the rope is securely tied to the anchor point and the hook / beam / branch can hold you. Kick the chair and that's it. It's only a question of time until you die.
Kicking the chair might be the most difficult part bc here SI might kick in.
The younger children are the less they think and recognize what they are actually doing. Imo when very young children manage to hang themselves it's always a terrible accident but nothing intentional.

You have to have good knots both the one on the anchor and the one on yor neck.
I didnt make it so far to make the slipknot for the neck the way it would constringe once I kick the chair.
For the anchor point I use a double 8 climbing knot. That's more than safe.
