Is Budget / money for cbt enough?

Hey everyone,

I've been doing quite a bit of reading on the different methods available, and I've come to a conclusion, though I could be wrong. It seems that if you want a truly painless and efficient method, you need a decent budget. But even with money, sourcing what you need (like N, SN, benzos, etc.) still seems incredibly difficult. Especially in Europe, where customs are strict and there's a real risk of getting into legal trouble or even ending up in jail.

Has anyone else felt the same way? I tried doing a mental exercise with a 5K budget, and even then, I couldn't come up with a method that feels safe, easy, and effective. Especially something like N.

Am I missing something? Maybe I'm just being naive or haven't researched enough. Would love to hear your thoughts.

There are a few well known effective cheap easy methods, Hanging and Jumping from height (onto solid ground), are very quick effective, and cheap.

It depends on what you consider truly painless and efficient. You get pain with a heart attack. Gunshot to the head seems terribly quick, but what do you feel in that instant before you get turned off forever?
Some discomfort probably accompanies all deaths unless you are asleep or passed out.
Efficient as is speed to passing out or cheapest resulting in death?
There are vairables to methods. Some are in your control, some are not.
Cost is not a direct cause of comfort.

My current SN plan has cost me around £350-£400, but that's mainly due to my booking a nice hotel. If I wanted to save on costs I could've just gone to a cheap BnB in a town up the road to reduce travel and accommodation fees (or cheaper yet, do it at home - though this is completely out of the question for me).

The SN itself was maybe like £100 if I remember correctly, plus a bit more for AEs and paracetamol. Pretty affordable for the 'basics', but I was just lucky to be in a position where I could afford it, and luckier still to have the resources to go for a decent hotel in the city I wish to die in.

If this attempt fails I'll have to go with a 'cheaper' option since it looks like SN is gonna be tricky to source from hereon out.

It all comes down to your priorities. For me, I would like to be in (relative) comfort, I don't want to be found by friends or family, and would require a method which I have confidence in overcoming SI with.

Inert gas seems reasonably priced. I did some estimates and I think I am looking at about 1k USD total for all I need (including temporary storage).

Having said that... in setting up trusts, wills, funeral arrangements and the like seems like it's going to be expensive. At least 10k by my estimates.

Skipping a storage unit could save you a few bucks. Below are my estimates in my neck of the woods:

Gas tank (~$400)
Regulator (~$250)
Bags, velcro, other accessories ($150)
3 months storage unit ($170)
