UK South East here. Shoot I'm looking for others to talk to and hopefully befriend. Maybe even make some real life friends. But no romance or relationships. I'm 24 also.

UK has become a depressing island to live to in. The weather doesn't help either.

I see I had this problem too. I joined the site last year and I found a lot of American users actually, users from Canada and other countries in Europe and worldwide. It can be quite lonely especially if you need information or about about stuff.

You can always talk to me . My pms are open. Please be very very careful on this sometimes you can get weirdos in your pms this has happened to me.

Tell us little bit about yourself

Tamz that clapping was the most embarrassing thing ever. People were clapping for an empty service because surgeries and many NHS healthcare services were cancelled as a result of lockdown.

People as result of cancelled NHS services have become seriously ill because they couldn't access the healthcare they needed. The stories that have come out are absolutely heartbreaking. A woman needed a scan for a growth but it got cancelled because of lockdown. The growth was a tumour and now she has terminal cancer because it kept spreading as it was untreated for many months.

This story made me cry. This lockdowns has done more harm to people's lives than the virus ever did.

My family love the Prime Minister and are always defending him.

The UK is a circus except none of this is entertaining.
Yeah so true, the lockdowns were so damaging i know people who have lost loved ones due to cancer cos they had the treated stopped but otherwise they might have been here today. And the restrictions on freedoms were a joke and I don't think it was a complete coincidence my mental health collapsed during lockdown dispite suffering health problems. The invisible damage has been massive, yeah why on earth were we clapping for a service that quite frankly let people down by stopping treatment and the way my health care has been handled is beyond a joke, it's disgusting! There's a reason its free its bloody awful! But our country has too many problems first being way overpopulated. The countryside is being ruined by housing developments everywhere. I'm glad I'm making my way out of here soon.

Lifessocruel when I said lockdowns do more harm than good. An NHS worker on reddit criticised me. I can't fight with a NHS worker because he is an NHS worker

Here is his comment

"I dont mean to be a complete ass to you, but you clearly have absolutely no grasp of the purpose of the lockdowns whatsoever. It's almost shocking to me that people still can't understand why after 16+ months.

I understand people have been affected. I work in the nhs. Do you?

" A work colleague who has three small children his wife caught covid and spent a two weeks in intensive care and nearly died. He caught it and spent 3 weeks crippled in bed and still 6 months later can't taste anything. We as a country have had a shocking response to covid, if you think this is bad imagine half a million people dead or more, do you think people would be receiving cancer treatment (which is what I do might I add) with hospital's over flowing with the sick and dieing while we as staff got sick and died.

Please for the love of anything educate yourself."

The same nhs worker said my views are " horrendous"
I had comments from people calling me mentally unstable and told me to seek help.

I am worried about the harm lockdowns have done to people's lives but I am a bad person according to the nhs worker.

Yeah they would say that the truth is the government have manufactured scare stories about covid, let me just be clear I'm not blaming the NHS, most of them do a good job and i guess I've been unlucky having to deal with shocking service from where i live but I'm saying that our government has sacrificed the lives of young people for elderly people. And lets be honest the virus has effected mostly people over the age of 80. I would use Sweden as an example they didn't even have a lockdown for most of it and they still had less deaths per 100 thousand of the population on average, the Flu kills 10 thousand people a year but we never hear that on the news? What I'm saying is the lockdowns didn't have to be so harsh they could of atleast opened gyms/pools ect and allowed more people to see friends. I had a good routine before Covid before it ruined everything and it's definitely a factor in why I've ended up being a suicidal person and I'm sure an awful lot of young people are in the same boat.

I'm in Scotland@, female, 48. Became severely physically disabled during lockdown. Already had problems was only beginning to recover from a breakdown. Not being able to get out in community immune system low my health deteriorated. Been bed ridden 9 months after seizures nhs refused to admit me to hospital due to pandemic. I've got debilitating widespread symptoms now & severe nerve damage & no chance of recovery. Crying in agony every waking hour. Must find a way to end this shit life. Can' hardly eat, swallow, walk, sleep, shit, in relentless torturous agony 24/7 but still bloody here. Covid has completely destroyed my life.

Chockles I am so sorry. I have told my family people have had their lives ruined due to lockdowns but my family didn't want to listen at all. My family believe nobody should complain about lockdown because " people have died " and everyone should be " grateful " they are alive.

There is so much focus on those who died from covid19 its like the living have been forgotten its tragic people have died from covid19 but lives of the living matter too.

Its disgusting the dead are now no superior to the living.

I blame the media what they have done is evil. God forgive but I hope all the journalists who scaremongered the entire population in to believing we are going to die I hope they burn in hell.

I have has covid19 deaths in my family and neighbourhood but many people do recover from covid19. It is not ebola.
We have a vaccine now people are still worried this is getting ridiculous.

My friend I hated being in lockdown it upset me I was not doing anything meaningful with my life. All I wanted was a real meaningful purpose.

If I had a purpose in lockdown I would have been OK . I would have been happy everyday helping out in a women's refuge or the food bank or something meaningful.

Everyday I wished it was me who died from covid19 instead of the good people of the world. I look at all the doctors, nurses who died and all I think I was why am I still here. Am alive and I don't even deserve it.

I found out I was living in toxic mould for years unknowingly. Covid didn't directly ruin my life but living in flat 24/7 whilst doing it up for sale something bad got into my body destroyed all my muscles & nerves & immune system. If not for lockdown it may still have happened but I reckon I'd have had workmen in doing up flat whilst I stayed elsewhere. It was supposed to be the start of a new albeit limited life with milder physical symptoms buying a new property with my partner. Instead I lost my flat, my partner & now destroying my elderly parents and of life as I'm bed bound at theirs in agony with no relief from debilitating symptoms & very rarely sleep despite benzos/opiates I've resorted to. I never imagined things could become so desperate. Now I'm just hopeful I can acquire N as I simply cannot function at all anymore choking on my own phlegm, non stop electrical bolts down body, I'm totally inflamed/poisoned. I never wanted to die before lockdown I had good days & bad days now I'm desperate for an end to my suffering

I also know many who have had covid bad &:nowhere as ill as me. I wish covid had taken me. Ps the 1st vaccine made me so much sicker I didn't bother with the 2nd
The mental health treatment from the NHS is so understaffed & out of depth.
So is the physical. Only a few life threatening illnesses are taken seriously like strokes, heart attacks, cancer. Everything else take a medication. Decades of meds have destroyed my immune system.

I used to work for the NHS, I enjoyed my work but once i had my first major breakdown and couldn't concentrate properly etc, i soon found out who my friends were. Don't get me wrong, some were wonderful. Others though were particularly cruel.
