Sick of it all

It's only a matter of time and I'm running out

I had to go off my meds because my prescriber went away. I'm not sure what happened to her, I tried to refill my meds one day and the pharmacy said her DEA number was no longer valid. I tried contacting her to no avail. So now I take what meds I have sparingly but I know I'm gonna run out soon enough(I already ran out of my anti-anxiety meds) and will have to go med free. I feel like I'm less stable without them. But I also feel like I'm not my true self when I am them. It leaves me in a confused state. Wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation.

I have been off of my meds for about a year and a half and it's had it's ups and downs honestly. I'm actually trying to get put back on them because I feel that I can't go another dark winter without them. Does your area have any government run health centers where you could get new prescriptions?

I would die of anxiety and despair without my pills. My natural being is akin to hell. I physically can't breathe or sleep without them.

That's what I'm wondering. Do the meds, or lack of them, make you feel like I do? I was on the anti-anxiety med, like I mentioned. I'm also on an antidepressant and antipsychotic.

That's shitty that they were killing you. A shame it wasn't caught sooner. Have you recovered or are you still suffering and the damage has been done?

I'm the same way with sleep. I find without them I sleep less soundly. OTC sleep aids are a joke and don't help.

Not that I'm aware of. Plus most people who can prescribe meds are not taking new patients. I'm left in a lurch.

Medications are a delicate balance between unwanted thoughts/actions and unwanted side effects. It would be best to find another prescriber as soon as you can. You might enjoy the respite now, but try not to let yourself slide back into the problems you are trying to avoid.

definitely unstable. i've had my fair share of manic and depressive episodes when i'm off-meds and i have been for 6 months now. however, i've decided to not intake any medications anymore because either i feel like a complete zombie and/or i'm emotionally numb, both of which were draining and suffocating.

I have a week supply of my anxiety meds left. When they run out I wont get more. I want to know that when I end myself that it's my decision and not the meds. I want to be myself when I do it. I don't know if I am myself when I take my meds.

Stopped taking my antipsychotic/mood stabilizer in December last year. Started again about a month ago. I hate taking meds but man things get really hard without. Feel much more stable and capable of things on it. I don't think I realized how much I was struggling off meds until I got back on. Still; I hate "needing" them. I'd rather go down my little rabbit holes and wind up dead. It's hard to balance because I also fuck up the relationships I care about while off meds, and that really sucks. I don't feel like myself now but everyone seems to like me a lot more and I'm actually accomplishing things in my day.

I stopped taking meds about a year ago after spending 25 years on them … I was jacked up and delusional when I was taking them… Now I'm just swaddled in darkness… They're worth a try people who have never done it and are feeling hopeless… Try fluoxetine I've heard good things

I don't want to be specific, but they caused serious health problems for me so I had to go off. But it seemed like they did help otherwise. Now I'm dealing with chronic issues from the complications so I'm way worse off than before. I feel like I'm being punished for doing everything "right".
