Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I haven't seen anything about this on this forum. It's not in the threads compiling methods either (or maybe I just missed it—I don't know)

I'm not talking about railroads. I'm talking about subways.

Is there any information about this?

It's a terrible idea to kill yourself using public transportation. First there are usually people around who might interfere and get hurt. Second its immoral to selfishly block access to transportation with you blood and guts. Probably why you haven't seem any information about it. It might be in the non-methods but if its not you have an amazing opportunity to put it there.

Doesn't matter. Same rules apply. If you want to avoid being a-hole for potential bystanders, you do not plan suicide by proxy. You'll fuck up transportation for many people who rely on it, traumatize driver and potential onlookers for life and most probably remove any meal from those poor fuckers who will have to scrape you off the subway walls, rails and train itself.

Years ago, I went on a trip to Montreal. Friends and I were taking the subway to some kind of indoor garden... dome... thing (can't think of the proper terminology).

I remember: we stopped well outside the station, still in the tunnel basically. This lasted for a few minutes. We figured there must have been some sort of malfunction. Moments later we finally get moving again, very slowly, and there's an announcement in French that we don't understand. Once we reach the platform, there were police setting up caution tape, some onlookers, and then everybody got out of the subway cars. Everybody except us.

One gentleman, one of the last to get out, turned to us and realized we were kids / tourists who knew zero French. He said in broken English, "There is accident, we go, we go."

Confused but having pretty much pieced together something bad happened, we followed him and the crowd back up to the streets. On the way I asked an officer what happened and he explained it very clearly, albeit curtly.

Our plans had merely been inconvenienced and changed that day. And we'd been kicked off in a pretty shady side of town; within a minute we'd seen two old people fighting each other, the old man grappling with presumably his wife and the wife swinging her purse at him in slow motion, encountered two """construction workers""" who threatened us and harassed us while yelling French insults at us and following us down the sidewalk, a guy in some kind of weird military get-up with what looked like Frankenstein bolts in his shaved head mumbling "this is the weak link right here" over and over to one of my friends and staring us down, etc. But I have no doubt there were people on that platform, and the driver (conductor?) who will never forget what they saw first-hand.

In addition to the fond memories of us getting noise complaints every other night where we were staying, spilling red wine on one of the pillows and throwing it down a chute that said "incinerator," and going to a Canadiens hockey game where they have hot cheerleader babes in an otherwise empty stadium, and some other uhhh nighttime activities involving dances, I will also never forget that dark episode.
