This is merely a discussion thread on this topic.

We can talk on the internet about our thoughts on ctb, but meeting up could help us on our choice in whichever way.
A SS meet up would be kinda short founded, because we are here to ctb in the near future. So there wouldn't be many meetings at all, well at least not with everyone.

What are your thought on this?

Yeah there might be someone who calls the cops on a meet up, or some fraud who tries to exploit. But its the same risk as in the partner thread.

No way because it's too risky. Similar to the partners thread which already entails a significant amount of risk, a meetup with multiple people exponentially raises the risk. I also have my method and plan to ctb alone.

I'll be totally honest: if I met a very young person-- teens or early 20's-- I would want to talk them out of it or probably intervene.

I don't know if I could just sit by and respect their decision. Right or wrong, that's just me being protective, so I'm not the gal for those meetings.

I'd be down, but not to discuss CTB, just for the lulz. Judging by this thread however, I'd be sat there by myself. Surely at least one person wants to have a drink with me?

Imo the idea is great in theory, but like others have already said there's a risk attached to things like this and there are a lot of ways it could go wrong to be honest

Sorry but I think we should hold this in a giant barn with a barrel of beer and @gingerplum doing the food

This... this works for me. Keeps everyone under 21 out and ensures the food will be top notch.

If there were some way to ensure 100% (not 99.999999%) safety in terms of trolls, law enforcement, and medical do-good-niks, I would. It's a shame because I think it could be helpful to a lot of people to have a live group where we could all meet and speak openly without reprisal, but I don't see it happening in our time.
It's the same issue with the psychiatric/therapy field where the inherent lack of openness and trust sabotages a lot of the best intentions. I would wager everything I have that those rules/laws have resulted in more people wanting to end their lives than anyone they've helped (if any at all).

A suicide party can be a good idea. In a group i will have stronger courage. And more strong persons can help, or demonstrate right way. But if only one member will be fake, it is a terrible idea.

Yea but under 21 = not adult = extra risky for everyone else those under 21 could have their own

That said i'd never go honestly. Room full of people i dont really know...no thanks

Also rules seem odd here I posted a discussion about trying to meet friends and mine was locked yet here this is...oh well

I have to agree. Not just the fact of meeting a stranger(s) from the internet.
My main reason for not doing it is because we don't know who is on here.
It could be someone thinking we need "SAVED":angry:
