What the title says.

Also, what's "Analytical Reagent"?

I noticed that too, analytical reagent. Sounds like it's lab grade quality. Probably pretty potent but not 100% sure.

Any SN over 95% purity is good. Check the guides for SN.

I'm no expert but I don't see any reason why not? That's almost 100% - I vaguely remember seeing the 95% quote too. 99.89 is practically 99, no, 100% even.

About the second part of question, relevant parts taken from wikipedia
"In analytical chemistry, a reagent is a compound or mixture used to detect the presence or absence of another substance, e.g. by a color change, or to measure the concentration of a substance, e.g. by colorimetry."

"In commercial or laboratory preparations, reagent-grade designates chemical substances meeting standards of purity that ensure the scientific precision and reliability of chemical analysis, chemical reactions or physical testing."

So basically my take on that, "analytical regent" by itself means nothing strictly relevant to us except in individual cases, but generally means it meets a standard of purity, whatever their standard is. That means its accurate for analytical testing. Which makes sense its 99.89% which is very high purity. No idea what SN is used to test for though.

In answer to miserableforever's comment, it's at least lab-grade quality. Other distinctions are, from wiki
"Laboratory products which are less pure, but still useful and economical for undemanding work, may be designated as technical, practical, or crude grade to distinguish them from reagent versions."

tldr; about as pure as you can get without being 100% probably

Yeah, after more examination, the bottle says "laboratory reagent", so it probably isn't SN

Not sure I understand. If you have doubts it is SN, perform a test. I don't know the details myself, but there is a purity test. Of course I can't tell you if the results match that it is even SN myself since you're having doubts that it is even SN. Maybe you should post a picture of it, of the bottle label if you have one. If it's just powder, I don't know if anyone could reliably tell you.

You mentioned a bottle though, send a photo of the bottle label. If it says SN, it probably is SN. You seem a little unsure about it, so maybe ask for more help.

95% and greater is good, the remaining is just random salt that isnt deadly when consumed

Pure enough to be used in a chemistry lab.

I thought it meant it would be SN…I think that's what I ordered. Let us know
You're fine. It's SN. And meets the purity parameter of the SN guide.

I've been meaning to track some down for myself but it's out of stock everywhere online.

That's a long thread, can anyone say what the conclusion was? Why did it fail? Was it the SN or some fluke? An early post on there does say they may have been unconscious for over a day and so its possible that they just survived instead? - we don't know what other medication they were on that might have contraindicated / interacted.

I haven't ordered it yet, and besides, it takes 1-2 months to arrive

Oh my…that would be horrible. That's what I'm afraid of. Or that it will take to long and I'll be 'rescued' then in the psych ward. If I try this method I might get a hotel room for 2/3days just in case.

I only shared as I believe they failed using the same SN that the OP of this thread is talking about.

The conclusion seems to be that it was a bad batch or not pure SN.

The SN of original poster was a fake product, she committed CTB by a legit one again:

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/goodbye.70896/

SN will kill, there are many many many threads about who committed suicide by SN, do ur research and ignore trolls (there are a few troll in this froum).

The reliability of SN is confirmed in many scientific articles, now the amount of its peacfulness is debatable

Yeah, it's the same batch I was planning on buying. I'm going to use a different seller. Thanks for sharing!
