Help Is 300mg of quetiapine bad?

Just had an intake at the hospital. It was definitely crazy. Never had an experience like that. Blood testing, ECG and that 1 hour interrogation they concluded that I should stop using bupropion (which I literally started this morning) and switch to quetiapine. 300mg. It's an antipsychotic and they know of my Matrix rambling on this forum. My hatred for you humans. My ruminations throughout the day. My sleeping problems and my binge eating problems. Don't know how it will affect me and those things.

Help me (if you humans are still capable of that).

What's your diagnosis? I am guessing that your doctor came to the conclusion that you have bipolar or schizophrenia instead of depression. Given that you have binge eating and quetiapine contributes to metabolic syndrome, you're probably going to gain a shit ton of weight. But that's just a possibility (37% to 63%), not a guarantee. I think they made an okay choice if you are suffering from psychosis/mania, because quetiapine will help you sleep.

The dose to me indicates that doctor thinks acute mania or psychosis. Lower dose would be off-label uses such as for insomnia.
