Hi friends! I am a newbie but been lurking the posts for a while. I am 30 years old, cilinically failed as a human and going to CTB on August 30. Before that, I have to live my life to the fullest and enjoy the last summer as long as it lasts. I have already started to make memories with my best friends and hope that they will cherish those moments when I 'm gone. Any ideas for goodbye letters for them? I'd like to concentrate on the life we had, not the death I chose. But is it too harsh on them? Should one even write those letters at all?

All conversation welcome,
-existencence

Whether you write a letter or not is completely up to you! Your life is different from anyone and everyone else's so only you can really make that decision. I personally feel like if I could tie up all my loose ends, I would rather just die without writing one. But I feel incapable of doing so, so I will most likely leave one!

I've written many letters over the years... I usually start them by saying something like "first and foremost this is not anybody's fault" to dissipate guilt. It feels sort of awkward and disjointed but I think it gets the job done. As for focusing on life, I want the same. Whenever I've written letters, I've always spent the majority of it going over memories and expressing gratitude.
