I overdosed on insulin in a ctb attempt a few years ago, obviously it didn't work. I let myself be hypoglycemic until I couldn't tolerate it anymore then ate basically my whole kitchen and was fine. Frustrating. SN is my chosen method but I'm nervous because I have a weak stomach. What are everyone's thoughts and experiences with insulin overdose as a method?

Curious about where you heard this method from and/or if there's been any outcomes where the person has achieved the desired result. It doesn't sound like a practical way to go, especially if you're non-diabetic and/or don't have an insulin injection of some kind.

I can get insulin easily and also needles, which is why I tried it in the past. I had read some incidences of insulin overdoses being fatal and I theorized that if I injected a shit ton of short acting all at once and overwhelm my body, it wouldn't be able to successfully fight the hypoglycemia and go into a coma then death. I guess similarly to flooding your body with SN.

had a similar experience but I tried to sleep through it with alcohol it just didn't work kept sweating and shaking from night till morning . I think if you have a method to force yourself asleep for more than 24 hours it could maybe lead to a coma/dearh

That's a very good point. So maybe that plus a benzo overdose or something.

But there's also a risk of permanent damage with benzos. In case of failure a benzo overdose can cause permanent brain damage as a result of respiratory depression and respiratory arrest.

reminds me of the movie 'the good nurse' based on an infamous serial killer. i looked into insulin after seeing the movie. apparently difficult to pull it off alone. if using needles, you need up to 6 injections at the same time? you can pass out before you get them all in. i don't remember if there were side affects after failure.

The healthy person with a functioning pancreas can partially compensate for the excess of insulin by counter-regulation (glucagon). Thus, an overdose would be more dangerous for diabetics than for non-diabetics. However, an appropriately high dose would turn out the lights for both parties.
The advantage for the healthy person would be that at some point, provided there is no secondary damage from unconsciousness, he or she would automatically wake up again. The diabetic will remain unconscious or die if help does not arrive in time.
If the amount is too high and the liver can no longer counter-regulate with glucagon, or glucose, a non-diabetic can also go into hypoglycemic shock and die without glucose infusion.

If it were all as simple as in the movie.

These patients were already medically compromised and the nurse had access to their veins/unlimited insulin. Sigh

Yeah, good point :(
