• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So I had my police welfare check this morning in the UK. 2 police officers asked to come in without saying the reason - obvs I was expecting this. They said they were concerned about a package that they knew was delivered to me in December, and were concerned that it could be used for suicide.
I told them I'd ordered the substance and that I'd taken it last week. Explaining that I'd only just been discharged from hospital. They were a bit taken aback and asked if I had any left - unfortunately the hospital took the rest whilst I was in resus. They asked me where I got it from & I just said the internet but couldn't remember what site.
Wasn't much else they could do except to say they were sorry they didn't come last week and asked if I needed any support. They seemed ok for police and they didn't really know what to say.
Luckily I live on my own but I really feel for the people who have the police confront them in front of family/flatmates.
Funnily enough they (nor I) mentioned the name of the poison.

I'll detail my failed SN attempt in another post soon - I'm still coming to terms with the fact I'm still here 💕

Were they uniformed or not? May sound like a weird question but I've read some people say they've had police detectives to see them (plain clothes). If they're detectives it means they're trying to gather evidence for a criminal case against the seller(s).

How obnoxious! In the UK are you required to let them in? I think here in America we can tell them to f*ck off unless they have a warrant or something.

Yes I was wondering the same thing. I haven't heard of the US even doing welfare checks for SN is that happening here too?

You don't have to let them in or even speak to them. I've since found out that being polite but firm is the best option. Something like "I am not at risk of harm. If I was at risk I know how to get help. Your visit is causing me upset and I'd like you to leave now."

When they came to my house, my landlord opened the door. I spoke to them outside. He's pretty chill and I told him I'd been a witness to a vehicle accident. I don't think he believed me but there ya go.

My fear is for people in domestic violence situations. Imagine having fucking police turn up at your door and it's answered by your abusive partner. They're not going to believe "I was a witness to an accident."

Sooner or later sometime is going to end up dead from a DV assault, as a direct result of a police "welfare check" or their visit will cause someone to CTB out of fear. For all we know this has probably happened.

I had the police show up while an ambulance was at my place doing a welfare check and I panicked. I locked myself in the bathroom and took sn.
