**Note: This setup is unviable as it is. Masks have very low inner volume so they require a demand valve or reservoir bag (or a huge flow rate) to meet the demands of inhalation, but posting it anyway for educational purposes.

I'm using a trimmed down white garage bag with an elastic hair band, regulator only and a simple clear tube.

Lots of you have chairs to recline in. Do you think a bed is too "flat" to just lay back on a few pillows?

You want to be comfy and still keep the position after loosing consciousness. Also, building a setup takes time you basically would needed a second bed to build your setup around

Could you post a picture of the adapter that connects the EEBD tubing to the pressure regulator ?
I assume you got the whole kit from EM ?!

Yep.

Depends on your setup, for the homemade ExitBag is better not to lay horizontally, for SCBA the position is irrelevant.
I'm not gonna lie down horizontally because I have some sleep apnea.

So it's safe to assume em custom built their tubing and there won't be a readily available alternative ?

EM setups were custom built by changing the hose connector to connect them to medical Nitrogen regulators.

Jep. I looked at the 3M tubing and it looks like all it needs a small piece of plastic which could probably
3d printed cheap.

The 3M Hood doesn't have exhalation valves like most EEBD hoods, so it must be used like an ExitBag (previous hyperventilation and lung emptying).​

The EEBD hood shouldn't have problems either coz it also has exhalation valves.
Reclining should be a bit better in all cases coz the CO₂ will pass easier thru the valve.
