Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Everywhere I look there is cruelty, hatred, malice

I don't remember having the delusion that most people are good, but I used to believe that most humans had some empathy. I naively believed in slow but gradual progress, that a good portion of people would help you up if you fell over on the street. I used to watch Star Trek, hopeful for a future where we could be better; I can't stand watching it now where once my young self would laugh, smile, and cry for sadness and joy for it.

It is hard to believe in anything but annihilation - in fact I hope for it. I hope for it now when society tears itself asunder into tribes that find pleasure in torturing their ideological enemies. I hope for it when logic, and intelligence has no place unless profit is to be made, and it is ignored if it is to be lost. I hope for it now when this beautiful planet full of rare, and precious life, is being destroyed for money and in turn, a fleeting sense of power. I beg for it now that evil men forever go unpunished, protest does nothing, and justice is unreachable.

We drop bombs on children and I look around wondering why someone doesn't do something, I ask why this is allowed to happen; I attend protests that will amount to either nothing but a sore throat, or swift brutality from the state. No one will ever be punished for the destruction, the only thing stopping conquerors now isn't empathy, it is the threat of nuclear annihilation, and there is no point ruling a wasteland.

There is not a place you can go where you can escape it, the constant malevolence, the constant arguments and fighting, the persistent taking down of others just so they can be stood upon in a futile attempt to climb higher. The masses are only held back by their governments, which have the monopoly on the violence that truly controls us all, but when you take away consequences people show their true face. You merely have to see humanities interactions online, where there are no repercussions for bad behavior, in fact, being unkind is a celebrated and expected part of this place. Most it seems wait patiently to dunk on someone, and prove the other cringe, and hope that the target of their hatred will one day suffer.

How quickly your colleagues, your friends, and even your family would desert you if you were not wholly on their side. When you're up against the wall they'll turn their heads and look away, and a lot still would happily squeeze the trigger.

None of them are smart enough, aware enough of the fact they are played like fiddles by algorithms designed by men building doomsday bunkers on tropical islands, because they know your hatred is far more engaging than understanding and empathy.

Some might point to examples of kindness, to those who have done good things, and there are some who are truly kind, who truly care for the sake of caring, but they are statistical anomalies. Most are kind to gain social status, a man gives to charity to make themselves feel better, a rich man funds a childrens hospital so they have their name etched into the stone. Kindness almost always comes with an expectation of some reward.

So when I am gone, have it written on my paupers grave: I could not stand man's cruel indifference to his fellow man.
