Important reminder: some people here want you to kill yourself

You talk about it like it's something bad. I would be glad to be able to do it myself.

The issue is that we aren't supposed to want others to kill themselves. This site is pro-choice, not pro-death. We should want others to do what they feel is best for them. Specifically using this site to encourage others to ctb is against site rules and all around wrong.

I've only encountered a person once who said that the OP should kill herself and I reported it as I'm sure some others did.

There are all types of people out there. I'm sure someone gets off on it. Stay safe.

Yeah… I've gotten some "interesting" messages from people on here. I have conflicting feelings about the whole thing. Though to be honest, sometimes I find it hard to tell if they're actually encouraging me or simply are trying to connect and don't know how to talk about things, so I'm reluctant to report it. And the people who have been more direct with me ended up getting banned for other things anyway.

After several weeks here, it became pretty obvious that there are a number of users who seem more interested in other people's suicides than their own. They're pretty easy to spot: they've usually been here for several years, and they spend their days trying to convince other members to do what they probably never will themselves.

Just saying, I'll kill myself if you give me the means and ideas for me to kill myself. Of course I'm going to kill myself for me, not for you, but, if you were to help me figure out some things, it'd be a win-win. What do you say? I hate being trapped in existence and I really want a way out of here

I'm sure there are people who would like to see some of us ctb and are encouraging it. Some may be innocent in wanting this because they don't want to be the only one who is taking their own planned death very seriously. I'm not defending it, though, because suicide is clearly a very person and permanent choice and I don't think anyone should be encouraging it. Then again, I'm betting there are just a couple people encouraging it because they are sick fucks. If you see something is off, report it. I'm betting the moderators can separate innocence from sickos.

Why would you kill random other people? That's not ok. Every one of us has the choice to live or to end our lives, but no one has the right to make that choice for bystanders or anyone else.

My extended family member killed their entire family, including 2 children under the age of 10, before killing themselves. Going to the funeral and seeing the box containing the ashes of those two children together damn near killed me. No one has the right to kill anyone else, period.
