I read this in an article. The emergence of AI in our daily life will most likely make human interactions a luxury product/service eventually. That's crazy. I haven't thought about it in this way. I have to admit I had an issue with an Amazon order. And the chatbots were really fucking bad. And the layout of the website also disincentive that one writes a complaint. Talking with a human solved the issue. .On the other hand side, I feel sorry for people who have to do this horrible job. This is very soulless work. I have the feeling though that with AI integration in jobs many tasks will become repetitive and frustrating for workers.
I could see the benefit if AI would complement human work on some issues. And if the usage was optional. I guess though this won't bring enough revenue. And once we entered this time point it will be likely irreversible. Personally, I would hope that unemployment will become less stigmatized. I am well aware though that a dystopian outcome is far more likely with this technology and our governments that reject to regulate it properly.
