  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

I plan to use the sn method. I take 200mg quetiapine daily anyway. I personally don't think it's a very good antiemetic for me as I have almost been sick on it before. I therefore wonder whether I should still take the meto, but I've heard 2 antiemetics can cause serotonin syndrome. I am sensitive to that, having had serotonin syndrome several times. How should I manage another antiemetic around the quetiapine? Should I not take the quetiapine for a while and if so how long? Anyone else in this position ie taking an antiemetic and unsure whether it will be effective enough?
Thanks.

I would not take it in addition. I would choose another antiemetic, such as Domperidone which is known to have fewer side effects.
And I would not combine 2 antiemetics. You never know if there are any other unknown interactions, other than already mentioned.

Thanks for answering my boring question! Is Domperidone available over the counter in the UK like meto is? Why is meto is a bad idea here? My worst nightmare is choking on my own vomit so it's essential I get this
part completely right.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, it´s available without a prescription in the UK, when you know the source. Why not Meto ? As I said: "such as Domperidone which is known to have fewer side effects." But you can use either one. Your decision.

sometimes quetiapine can be combined with ondansetron 8mg, which is an anti-nausea drug that works by blocking the 5-HT3 receptor, but don't do this if you have heart problems or are dehydrated.

I think I'm just gonna stop taking the quetiapine. I think stans guide sayd not to do that, but I really need to know that the antiemetic will work and apparently meto is the best.

metoclopramide is very effective as an anti-emetic, but comes with risks of some adverse effects, like extrapyramidal reactions and, more rarely, even tardive dyskinesia.
