• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i believe once we die we'll enter into a ghost realm, we'll be able to watch the people on earth but not really communicate with (most of) them. my worst fear is that people will forget me after i die and i'll have to watch them not think about me and not be able to do anything about it.

i want as many people as possible to think about me for as long as possible, i would do anything for that, even if it meant i had to do something terrible.

my first plan for suicide has always been by train, all the people on the train platform who have to watch me would think about me for the rest of my life, but i feel like train suicides never really get talked about on the news or online, and id be forgotten pretty quickly.

the only reason i havent CTB yet is because of how terrified i am of being forgotten.

i would do anything just to have people remember me for as long as possible by as many people as possible after im dead.

i wish it was as easy as just "be a good person!!! be kind!! help others!!!" but everyone knows that those people dont get remembered.

i just need an idea of how to have the most people thinking about me for the most amount of time possible after i die.

pending you do something astounding or absolutely terrible, youll be forgotten either way. the difference is a matter of 70 years tbh.

i never met my grandparents from my dads side (died before i was born) and my moms dad died when i was only 7. i hardly ever think about him, and i can ensure if i had kids (which i wont be doing) they wouldnt think about them at all. 99% of people are eventually forgotten. and even that remaining 1% will eventually be forgotten too.

theres probably a different reason youre scared to ctb rather than it being about being forgotten.

Everyone and everything will eventually be forgotten. The sun will swallow up the earth and all of its memories alongside it. Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, God, Allah, etc. All forgotten. There's nothing anyone can do about it.

Unless you are Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, or Thomas Edison, you and I and the rest of humanity will be forgotten at some point.

I understand what you are trying to say. However, I don't think traumatizing a train of people is the way to go about being remembered. I want to be remembered also. I feel so unseen and uncared about in life, and a part of me hopes people will miss me. Though, I also know the world keeps turning. I'll likely be a topic of discussion for a few hours and then those people will have life and work things to attend to. Then i'll just be a person that may or may not cross their minds on occasions. The only people that will truly think of us are our families and they will pass one day and the thought of us will be gone with them.

Don't be worried about what will unfold or not unfold after you're no longer here. That's the beauty of no longer being here.

Even when we remember people from the past, Julius Caesar, Socrates, are we really remembering "them" as people? Or are we only remembering the idea we make of them, their accomplishments, etc? It's one of those things we either accept or suffer for. We'll all be forgotten.
