• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

My therapist says I "need more help". She wants me to do an IOP. We have talked about this before and I have no interest. She is now saying she will not work with me if I don't do the IOp. How does this help? I get she thinks I need more intense support and that my SI scares her, but in what world does leaving me all alone do anything but make me want to CTB immediately? I really don't understand the logic. And I'm scared she is going to bail.

Happens to me with every therapist I share my dark thoughts with they're like 'oh sorry this isn't the right therapy for you' or 'that I need a more specific therapy' I don't get attached anymore cos they're a therapist not your friend it's just their job they could literally quit anytime they wanted and choose to work elsewhere. Do you want to do IOP anyway? Maybe a new therapist would be good one that won't force IOP

I have some thoughts on this. Yeah, some therapists are not equipped to deal with suicidal ideation, and I get that. I just got discharged from PHP and, frankly, I think that my mental health got worse. I actually think that they sort of kicked me out or made me voluntarily discharge because, as someone with suicidal ideation, I am a liability.

You could do IOP and it would give you the comfort of being at home or an in-patient program that stabilized you more. However, consider that going to these types of programs, while potentially helpful, is not easy, and to be frank, discussing suicidal ideation in almost any space can lead to you being involuntarily committed to a facility. I wish that there were non-mental health professionals that could help people practically navigate the mental health care system.

I just feel so betrayed. The SI is part of it but she and I have talked about suicide for the whole time I have known her. I don't know if she is just sick of not seeing progress or what. I just feel abandoned.

I tried an IOP years ago and hated it. I don't have it in me to try a new therapist. If she bails, so do I.
