My plan was foiled. Checked into the hotel, and was simply relaxing. Enjoying the silence, and was about to get something to eat. My wife asked what I was doing. I replied that I was going to just check into a hotel for tonight to clear my head. Nothing struck weird about the exchange. She texted me few hours later to see if I could go let the dogs out because my wife and mother-in-law were still shopping. Those dogs are my kids, so obviously I agreed to letting the dogs out. I walked in and damn near all my family is in the living room. The exchange started, and I was forced to come clean because my wife told my mom about the recent discussions lately. Now I'm in my bed even worse than I was earlier today. Stuck trying to explain something they'll refuse to grasp no matter how I explained. Holy shit this fucking feels terrible.
My goodness that is awful. I'm pretty sure The vast majority of us have shot ourselves in the foot by saying something here and there.
