This chaos could very well send multiple countries into a depression. Countless people without work then leading to those without basic needs. It's just going to make the world a crueler place, and it did not need the help.

Worse is i'm still pretty convinced this is a gross overreaction but by the time we know for sure the economic damage will be done.

It has not even really affected me yet, but i'm very concerned for the future. Not really because of the virus but because of the chaos that is yet to come from the financial instability.

This is what happens when most people are living from paycheck to paycheck. It's the society that makes me want to die.

I feel like the only way to fight back is to ctb and stop producing wealth for the ultra rich.

Change is not coming, they got everyone under control and people are too busy trying to survive from day to day really think about it.

Come to the conclusion that if people believe the sun does not exist. It does not exist despite what empirical evidence you provide, even if they are sunbathing in it. This chaos is highlighting the broken systems we are surrounded by and how much they don't give a shit about you. The asshole in me is ruminating on the irony of so many support systems over the years being undermined to the point of collapse to punish the feckless who have been made scapegoats of society's ills. But now everyone is likely going to need it and soon find just how inadequate it is in many countries. The worst aspects of profit before people is playing out for hand sanitiser. This will hasten the global recession that was already on the cards. The people who will gain will be the ones using imaginary numbers that if you move them around become greater in value from nothing. Devaluing every ones futures further. Further undermined by our political systems that also deny the sun exists if that is part of their ideology. Right until they themselves are at risk of being set on fire by it. I laugh with contempt not amusement.

I take no pleasure in any of it.

Most advances towards what we consider humane living standards has come out of violence or in response to atrocity. But these days the media machine acts like Goebels wet dream in sculpting minds. 24/7 digital operant conditioning. Consume to death. Worship your masters. Passivity is good. Divide amongst yourselves. Hate what is below covet what is above. As such the sun does not exist.

I'm starting to notice something quite different here. Everyone suddenly seems kinder. Old school manners, particularly with the elderly, are coming back strong. The empathy from everyone is like nothing I can recall. Like we're all on a communal mission against this thing. There seems to be a world of difference between the few bad eggs that dominate the news and the overwhelming majority on the ground. Maybe it's just my area but I like to think the good people of the world are starting to let it show.

The Steppenwolf's look pierced our whole epoch, its whole overwrought activity, the whole surge and strife, the whole vanity, the whole superficial play of a shallow, opinionated intellectuality.

And alas! The look went still deeper, went far below the faults, defects and hopelessness of our time, our intellect, our culture alone.

It went right to the heart of all humanity, it bespoke eloquently in a single second the whole despair of a thinker, of one who knew the full worth and meaning of man's life.

It said, "See what monkeys we are! Look, such is man!" and at once all renown, all intelligence, all the attainments of the spirit, all progress towards the sublime, the great and the enduring in man fell away and became a monkey's trick.

I'm not vegan or anything, but I feel like this is a sort of cosmic punishment for the mass enslavement and torture of animals to make quick egg mcmuffins and fast food, bacon bits, pizza etc. I think it's warranted. Humans need to be held accountable for what they have been doing. If you're not breeding and you are ready to sacrifice yourself (if given the opportunity like euthanasia), I have sympathy for you. Nobody is innocent but nobody asked to be born. I included myself, I'm freaking out and suffering too, I have things to lose too, and lots of things to worry about too. But I'll totally sacrifice myself so that the sheeple can wake up and realize this world is not a good place.

Look at the spring breakers as we speak, the young selfish self centered young kids out partying right now on the beach, literally was just on the news. People are still booking march break vacations. People deserve what they get for all I care. I'm already feeling sick I'm living in a high risk area under a state of emergency, hopefully I die.

However, I am truly sorry for everyone on here who is suffering, you definitely have my sympathy. I am not a sociopath, I'm definitely an altruistic misanthrope. I am also suffering too, probably will suffer more than most people, I'll find out in exactly 2 weeks, if I can't get my methadone!

Meh. The governments, or whoever is holding the main decision-making power, have chosen the pussy tactic. Full defense until the opponent exhausts itself (everyone who is sick develops immunity or dies) or is open for counterattack (vaccine or whatever they might be trying to cook). Seen it a thousand times, boring and effective, fucking meta.

The most revolting thing in all of this is witnessing that cacophony of futile narcisists on social media going off ranting about other people not obliging the quarentine like they have some sort of moral superiority or legitimacy to do so.
Tbh one of the best things that could happen to humanity would be for these self entitled "influencers" who are nothing but a bunch of stupid, egocentric, spoiled brats, to catch the fucking virus and just die.
Who the hell do these people think they are for behaving like they own the others? They are nothing but a bunch of leeches living off likes, subscriptions and shares, profitting from the insecurities of others who want to be like them.

I just hate the stupid ass old people that demand their meat NOW and think we're hiding it... bitch look at the shelves lol. I work in a butcher shop btw. It's been hell though as far as logistics and retail meat goes.
Hate to tell you. The majority of people who are hoarding aren't old. The majority of old people will not go to the stores, and they are having separate store hours. The majority of stupid ass people are millennials. ;)

Probably in your area. I live with a mix of retired people and young college idiots. They're too busy buying Corona and throwing parties.

Hearing that latest buzz word "social distancing" is getting old quick.
I been doing that for years and now suddenly it's hash tag worthy.

Let's all take a shot when we hear or read the phrase "social distracting" and see how we feel but the end of the day.

I hate the news constantly showing vertical IG videos from celebrities with pouty faces saying some cliche bullshit like, "We are all in this together" or "we are one" or "usa strong". Brace yourself all the hash tags and stupid fucking quarantine challenges are coming.

No job and "social distancing" is business as usual for for me. I actually feel normal for the first time in awhile. I actually have a little mood boost from it.

Did you find out any news? My doctor's office called from their personal number, and directed me to a different clinic because they are self isolating and can't get to the office. So I'm a little relieved.

Oh I also found toilet paper again yay!

What makes you think it is a buzzword?

Maybe I have the definition of "buzzword" wrong. I always thought a buzzword is when the media uses a word or a phrase 50,000 times a day, which they definitely are.

I'm not saying it's not serious or something people shouldn't do, I'm just saying that phrase is going to start getting annoying very quickly.

Oh man, what time is it? It's been 10 whole minutes since I, a socially distant millennial boomer gen z'er took a selfie and posted it on social media.

Haha so you've found some gold.
So far the only change for me has been people on scripts have to collect before 4pm and the chemist is ridiculously packed all day 40 minutes I was in cue for yesterday's pick up. But was told that "we don't know how long were going to be open for. Nearly every staff member (about 15) and the two pharmacists were in when it's standardly 1 pharmacist and 3-4 assistants.
Good luck bud

I'll soon be left jobless, since my contract is expiring and finding a job will be quite hard when all the small companies will probably either close down or fire as many people as possible.

Agree....
But the energy being put out by humanity is causing me to cycle from rage, to apathy, to love - for a few hours each day. Fucking exhausting.

There's a lot more to it than just the medical side of things.

Anybody who works for a living needs to worry about it.

You get sick, you lose your income. Your employer shuts down temporarily, you lose your income. You have to stay home with your kids because schools are closed, you lose your income. The economy tanks and your employer goes belly up, you lose your income. No income means you default on your bills, lose your home, and everything you've worked for all your life.

If you're unaffected by this, good for you.

I always enjoyed chaos that doesn't involve me, maybe too much.

There's not a single person I care about. Anyone could die and I wouldn't care.

And if I die, well, lucky me.

And if the economy is left shitty after this, or I end up with permanent damage or anything else, it'll be enough to push me to ctb. Right now the whole situation just delayed my departure. I'm just waiting to see how far it goes.

Im enjoying it too. I could watch the world burn while eating popcorn and I don't even like popcorn.

Now that said, I won't be spreading disease on purpose or contribute to more chaos or anything. I don't want to be involved. I will do what is expected, but I won't go above and beyond.

Probably too crazy, even for this forum
I am definitely an insane person, to be honest.
