If you vomit after taking SN?

Hi everyone. So I am planning to CTB with SN. I'm all ready with my little kit - I've got SN, Reglan and Tagamet. When the time comes, the last thing I want to happen is for me to vomit up the SN and live. As far as I know, this is just a risk. So how do I mitigate the risk? I can have backup SN drinks ready, but what if I vomit them up too? Basically I'm wondering if I need a Plan B on hand. I'm going to be in a hotel room by myself of course. Appreciate any advice from anyone. Thanks as always

I remember reading a thread somewhere that addressed this concern. From what I remember it did suggest to have another dose on hand. It did also mention that it's possible your body still absorbed enough SN before you vomited to be effective.

It talks about having an antiemetic (which you already have), and an antacid to mitigate the stomach's acid.

Even if you vomit, you will ctb if you've followed the guidelines to the best you can... mostly fasting ..
@Erase.myself just ctbd and it was noted that she vomited a lot. And didn't drink any back ups. @Moonicide vomited but ctbd. @Lion84 ctbd with only 2 sips.
If you're not found and don't call for help you will ctb.

As @Living sucks said, don't call for help.if you read through the threads that have anecdotal accounts of successes and failures, vomiting was not a contributing factor in failure, it was either calling for help, getting interrupted, or not taking enough SN and/or mixing it with too much water.

I suppose the willpower to ctb plus an extra drink will do. If you do the fasting properly you stomach would be empty. All you'll be vomiting would be the SN drink and maybe a couple of pills. Should be tolerable. Also the SN in one drink (20g) should be more than enough.

There is no risk . SN is fatal even if vomited .

Addressed too in the above link -- table showing you'll have enough SN. That said no one reported using 2nd serving. One serving of 20-25g is enough to kill a person even if they vomited most of it. (explained in the link)

Better not play with SN , not walk around -- lay down comfortably .

Yep, as everyone else has said, follow the SN protocol exactly, add as many of the optional components as possible, and have two backup doses prepared which are the same dose as your primary one.

Stan's Guide has mention of measuring/estimating the amount of fluid vomited to gauge how much of your backup glass to consume, but I personally would consider that to be difficult to estimate under normal circumstances, and almost impossible during the physical and emotional upheaval of a suicide attempt. So if you vomit after drink number 1, I would suggest simply taking all of drink number 2, and if you vomit that then take all of drink number 3.

Also, my obligatory warnings are to put up a sign or similar mechanism to prevent hotel staff being the ones who are traumatised by finding your body, and to clearly label all glasses of SN as 'POISON' to prevent someone else inadvertently drinking them or reusing the glasses after your death.

Very good info, I knew about the first one but hadn't even thought of labeling the glasses. I'm concerned with not harming bystanders so this would be something I'd want to do it I were to CTB.
