Discussion If you had to commit today..how would you do it??

If you knew that your suffering were gonna get WORSE tomorrow and knew that commiting suicide today would be the best option..
What would you do? Would you commit on impulse and how? Or would you rather suffer a lot more and wait till you have a soild plan and what method do you think you would use then??

I used to drive over this bridge on the interstate. I think its high enough I could jump off of it. I never stopped to look close. but probably there. I couldn't say what I would do if I was a 9 tomorrow.

This isn't even a what if type of situation. This what life is currently.

Method is dependent on how I feel in that particular moment, as usual. Assuming this isn't on a planned major attempt day.

I'd hang or panic I haven't had enough planning time and just end up cutting wrists in the bath. I know there's an open spot in the jump barrier at my local Asda…

Funny thing is I am committing today with SN BUT if I were impulsive it depends on where I was. If in the city I'm at now, probably jump from a building. If I had enough time to get to somewhere else, probably jump off a bridge. Or try to OD despite knowing it doesn't work.

It would depend on how much my suffering would increase. But to answer OP question in the title: I would buy charcoal, seal a tent, light the charcoal and eternal relief is near!

seal it completely, as in cover everything with duct tape? or only the places where it looks like the smoke could escape?
it would take a long fuckn time to cover the entire thing, but i guess it's worth it, to avoid a failed attempt.

i really need to look more into the BBQ method than i already did.

i'm not sure at what point you are supossed to place the BBQ inside the tent.
i know it's not right away

I would only seal zippers/windows but I thought about an additional tarp (or plastic cover) to cover the whole tent.

oh yeah! i would probably do the same. cut it up into smaller pieces and seal the entire fucking thing, just because i'm paranoid of a failed attempt.
and i don't want to give anyone any suggestions, bcause i personally am not comfortable with potentially contributing to someone's CTB...
i hope their problems can be fixed before that happens...

we also need to remember to have our heads elevated, because the gasses travel upwards, right?
so that means the gas source (BBQ grill or whatever) should be lower than ourselves.
so that the gasses travel up into our noses/mouths.

that's why it works even better in a car, where most people put the charcoal on the floor

Exactly. I have thought so long, and so hard, about killing myself because of my chronic pain issues that there would not be anything even remotely impulsive about my doing the deed.

And I will do it with my shotgun. In the bathtub. God knows it's gonna be a big enough mess as it is. I don't wanna make it any worse than it's already gonna be for whoever finds me and whoever has to clean it up.

A tent should be small enough. It's better to be a little elevated bc CO is a little bit lighter than air. But anyway, it should fill the whole tent easily. The heat of the BBQ is also sth that has to considered.

I don't know about any videos but there are some photos and CO meter tests in the CO Megathread. I think there are a few CO attempts where people posted photos in their GBTs you can use the search.

I wouldn't as I wish I had the option to cease existing peacefully and reliably with no more pain and suffering but of course I continue to be trapped in this existence just waiting to not exist suffering so unnecessarily and I'd just never wish to suffer in this existence. I'd be long gone if I could free myself from this futile, torturous existence and never suffer ever again but of course the suffering and cruelty of human existence is seen as to force and prolong no matter what, I always wish there's the option to just choose to permanently stop suffering, it always terrifies me how trying to cease existing can go wrong and lead to way more pain as a result.

I can understand as someone currently just watching days pass hoping to die after multiple failed attempts and still searching for a effective way to rest in peace

I only attempt if I am feeling ready so I would not make an attempt today based on how I might feel tomorrow. That being said, I have my handy rope tucked away in the basement for when the time comes.

I have. But that was a few years ago, before I ever knew what SaSu was. Or before the members here helped me find my way to what, for me anyway, can only be described as a recovery.
