That's a very broad question.

Well, presumably you are treated in hospital for any other illnesses or injuries you may have as a result of whatever led to your paralysis. Then it is determined whether your paralysis is temporary or permanent. Then you would probably go into some kind of treatment or physical therapy if there is a prospect of you regaining some function or learning how to compensate for it. And then if you are still left severely and permanently impacted, then you would probably go into some kind of high-needs care. That is assuming you either have good insurance or are in a country where the Government covers healthcare.

The Wikipedia page on Spinal cord injury > Management might give you some idea.

Would some countries just let someone die?

Would some countries just let someone die?

I can't imagine there are many countries where that would happen, no. Perhaps in very remote regions of the third world? But even there, there would probably still be attempts to save you, they are just less likely to be successful due to lack of expertise and resources.

This is why Im so afraid to use the nitrogen method. I have two options:

1. Use nitrogen, leave a intact corpse to help loved ones cope better, more peaceful. But there is a chance I survive as a vegetable.
2. Jump off of a very high place (150metres so 100% death), but I leave a mangled corpse for my family and they have to pay to ship my body. Not to mention its a lot more scary.

Why cant I just fucking get government assisted suicide?
