I'd just like to get out of the house.

Honestly, I would be okay with working for Walmart.

I hope to work up the courage.

It would not be a dream job, but I used to work for Walmart a decade ago.

Artist but...

I just suck so much that anyone who would look at what I create either becomes blind or suffer from sore eyes.

I think I have the same problem, I am not very handy or patient with my work, and yet I want to become better than someone else / I want to prove everybody wrong. I just can't be like those people who I admired.

In my case - its just because I have the stinkiest luck in existence.

While I can be patient with my work, its just that for some reason - life hands out the worst cards to me, either being shafted or done dirty. In the case of the former, favoring a prodigy over someone who worked many years as one example.

Me too. I used it a way to replace the people in my life, and that's why god wanted to "break my toys", so to speak. But I still enjoy them. I want to give them life.

I'd either want to work in robotics or something with computers remotely.
If I could I'd want to be able to live in two countries and swap between those every 6 months or so

Growing up, my dream was to become an emergency room doctor or maybe trauma surgeon.

I currently work part time as an emergency room technician (similar to an EMT's job except I work in the ER instead of an ambulance), and I'm in school full time for a major that is completely unrelated to healthcare.

My main priority is still going to be school and then a corporate job. I love my current part time job, even though it can be mentally and physically exhausting. I just can't see myself doing this type of job full time.

I'd love to be a musical artist. There's something beautiful in sending a message through music and finding out that people relate to what you feel.

Private detective in post war los angeles, that way l wouldn't have to deal with HR asking me why I'm rarely sober, why l take so many smoke breaks and seem to be narrating my life in noirish dialogue to a hard-boiled jazz soundtrack

I guess maybe being a librarian or something (though, I cannot become one since my university doesn't offer the courses that are required for it). To be honest, I don't have any real aspirations in life.

I already had something close to what I'd expect a dream job to be like once before.

Back in 2019-2020 when I was still attending University I worked at one of the student resources departments in my school. This job was pretty easy since I mostly just had to sit at the front desk and answer questions for anyone who came by. Occasionally I did have to answer a phone or print a document but this actually came up pretty rarely.

By the time Covid hit though is when this job became my dream job. I literally had nothing to do because no students were showing up and I was getting paid for it. I actually spent a lot of my time either posting on this very forum, reading random news articles on Google News, or theorycrafting competitive PokƩmon builds for Sword and Shield.

It's a shame I had to graduate and thus was no longer qualified for this job. I think an easy work from home job may also suit my preferred lazy hedonistic lifestyle of video games and binge watching but I do also enjoy going out sometimes just so I can pick up things to eat on the way.

Ditto. And yet I spent almost 20 years working between two different office jobs. Had to because that's what life expects. I really don't get people who say they love their job.

For me I wanted to be an astronaut a lot as a kid. But in middles school it changed and I wanted to be a professional drifter. That's probably what I'd do.

I enjoy researching schizophrenia. So, I'd like to be a post-doc schizophrenia researcher. However, probably the best way to support those with schizophrenia would be to donate to homeless shelters. I'm thinking if my CTB fails, I will try to pursue this path and donate a portion of my salary to shelters. If I fail this CTB, I'm telling myself that I won't be able to attempt again until I finish my undergraduate studies.

Trust fund kid. lol šŸ˜Ž

Seriously though.. I would love to be able to work in art and fulfilling work with animals, etc without having to worry about paying bills. I hate the pressure of knowing I would lose everything I have if I got hurt or couldn't work for a while.

I'd like to be a mechanic/engineer for heavy industrial vehicles or equipment.
I never knew it was an option when I was younger, everything at school pushed you towards academic subjects and just becoming an office drone.
As I got older I thought about retraining but life just got in the way.

Funeral director. Something about being the first line of support for people dealing with grief and loss has always been very appealing to me.
