Choosing to go back is certainly tempting ... but I see no reason to do it. There's no guarantee I can prevent myself from becoming suicidal, I would have to give myself an extra portion of life to live through (not even mentioning it is near-exact same to past, resulting in extreme boredom), and even if I could prevent myself from being suicidal, I would eventually do it at a later point or just slave away without understanding the intrinsics of life.
