  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Most of us have something wrong with us and that's why we want to CTB. If we are going to CTB then why not participate in studies testing different drugs, therapies, and treatments?

I guess some mightn't want to be a guinea pig to benefit the communities that hurt them.

I think it's a good thing to do. I mostly stay in the house and I don't want to go out anywhere or do more bureaucracy stuff than I have to. Sure, I'll die eventually and then it won't matter, but we all die eventually and I'm alive now and I want to lie on my bed and rot.

But yes, I agree with the sentiment of making oneself useful before or upon dying. I'm thinking about getting a will so I can give what little I have to charity upon dying (which is funny cos I just said I don't want to do bureaucracy shit, but I really don't want the money go to waste).

Most of such researches (if not all) involve staying inside certain facilities under doctors' observation. It's not something I would want to do…. On the other hand, getting vaccinated from COVID does not have such restrictions….. But this social experiment is just not for me……

Most will not accept people who have mental health issues- if this is the reasons why a person is going to CTB. I know this as I participated in about five clinical trials when I was in my twenties - but one of them was investigating the side effects of an antidepressant. The others were for the side effects of other medications connected to the liver, kidneys or whatever - I cannot remember. The screening is comprehensive and at that time I was not depressed to this extent and was not on any meds.

Trials are often long processes. I signed up for the Pfizer covid vaccine trial last year. The vaccine has rolled out, but i still have to go back every so often for blood work. They recently called to inform me they are looking into booster shots, so that might add even more time. They pay me per visit though and I got the vaccine months before the general public.

There's none in my city. Being chronically ill [physically and mentally], I'm not a good trial participant, they generally want healthy/"normal" people. Being on disability, I can't afford to travel to go to a trial.

it's a very noble thing to do but honestly the only medical trial i'd participate in is quality control in an Oxycontin factory

I thought about that in order to escape poverty for a while. But this has not much dignity. I am kind of scared of side effects. There can be longterm damage and a lot of horrible side effects.
However I already done one or two. They gave us 20 bucks at my first clinic. These were cognitive tests. Not taking medication. I would do this again. It was easy and kind of funny.
