In my opinion the biggest problem we have is over population. Alot of people will die because of the repercussions of Climate change. People will die until we are at a number at which we can survive with the food and water that is left. Why not let us get Euthanasia instead of dying anyways bacause of hunger/hear... idk just some dumb thoughts, this will never fucking happen

We do need a drastic reduction of people. There is no doubt about that.

What's the point of dying for climate change when some 78 year old billionaire will dump your lifetime's carbon footprint seven million times over in a week on some pipe dream luxury project? Every suicidal person could CTB right now and it'd save the planet a week's worth of emissions at best. We're ants.

I wish the rest of the world could take notes from South Korea with their heavily declining birth rate. This planet was never accustomed to have 8 billion people inhabit it.

This is bad. Ai data centers are bad. Countries like Malaysia and India dumping so much garbage, plastic in particular, directly into the ocean are bad. China still contributes about a third of all co2 emissions, and no one can stop it.
I see no way out of this.

Here in Australia just travelling 1 k distance to the local shops can take 13 minutes now with all the traffic.

Easy euthanasia is often critized to become a fast solution to people who have become burden but still want to live. And not a single megacorp. wants to lose its cheap labor nor pharmaindustry lose its evergrowing customer pool with increasing needs for their products.

And i think survival instinct must be playing a part here. Most people are completely unaware of it.

It wouldn't do much because individuals are not why climate change is so bad, it's largely corporations that wouldn't stop because of a sudden small decline in population. The idea it's caused by population has been thoroughly debunked.

Climate change is a byproduct of the anarchy of production, and has nothing to do with "overpopulation". You're a fascist.

I think no. Becasue at the end of the day each person is not doding near as much harm as the top dogs are. And those are the people with to big of egos to CTB

Please elaborate on why OP is a fascist.

Because if your "solution" to climate change is mass death and not the end of production for profit, you are a fascist. Should be obvious too that this "voluntary" suicide would be taken up by people who are already oppressed and pressured by society to not exist. That is why the "pro-choice" politics of this forum is right-wing bullshit.

There is no such thing as overpopulation. Actually, we have the opposite problem because birth rates have been reducing worldwide. The idea that reducing the population with euthanasia is a good idea because we absolutely must do that for the sake of the climate is, first, a genocidal idea, and also it is completely asinine.
