If it weren't for my family that I need to protect, I would ctb. I'm afraid of what the country will do to me. My family has been here for decades, they are good loving people. Yet discrimination is all we will face. I cannot live this life. I fear for the wellbeing of my friends aswell. In a world where people believe that immigrants are solely aliens. I wish to ctb but I cannot risk losing my family. I wish I didn't exist.
I know I pass as "something else" I do not look typically Hispanic nor does my family except my mother. But it is terrifying. All people believe is that we take tax dollars the government misuses. I cannot take the hate crimes of other minorities upon us aswell. This is all I have. All I wanted was my family to be safe. This is not the life I want. Not for being different.
BLM is all I hear. But never have I heard that Hispanic lives matter. Because tan skin is all you need to be detained. Citizen or not.
