Went to look after seeing this. This is BS. Yeah I'm old enough but my mailing address on my ID is my old one (my family's home) I can't have it shipped to them for obvious reasons.

I guess unless I lied about what it is, which I wouldn't want to do but dang !

This just broke my heart again , especially because I've been too vocal recently with the HOH of my fam. I'd be afraid they'd open my mail. I didn't really want to have to jump

I think it's good they are asking for ID because i definitely don't agree it should be available for any underage minors to buy.
However I'm not sure how the address thing will work, because here in New Zealand, our IDs don't even print out address on them. I'm sure when you send an email proving your age then explain your address situation then the company may be okay with it.

I'm glad they are now age restricting it, and be happy they haven't restricted it to businesses only!! :)

Doesn't hurt to try to explain. I was instantly in panic mode because of the address dilemma. but yes, we could try this (for those who preferred this method as well).

I guess my only real problem with that would be sharing my photo and full on information with them through an email.

Yea I understand that, I'm glad I already brought mine so I don't have to send my ID. However I guess we just need to remember that IC has been a reliable and reputable source for quite some time now, and they are most likely just doing what they need to to prevent the government or law enforcement from forcing them to apply heavier restrictions on the product or being shut down completely.

If you're in the US, doing that is illegal. It's a federal offense. You could press charges if they did that, if you were so inclined.

Yeah, I posted about this in another thread. The main issue is with the ID/address match, because while I can BS the origin or contents of a package to my parents, I'm concerned that it will be labelled in such a way that it will arouse suspicion.

Like if it's carrying toxic material, will it be labelled with warnings?

Yeah personally I'm super uncomfortable about giving my ID out like that and having that email exchange documented somewhere... I feel like after my death I could somehow be linked back to the company and cause trouble. It's so stupid, because people die from alcohol poisoning or smoking themselves to death with cigarettes... both items having restricted sale but no one would get away with suing those industries. Sad times we live in.

Do they accept a picture of your ID on line? Now you know there are computer programs that would allow you to modify your ID,..... Not that I as a southern gentleman would be so low as tell you to do something that wasn't strictly kosher to acquire that which you seek. Love to all y'all here.

The labelling of IC is very simple. No warning labels. No "toxic" classification. Simple envelope with a package sticker.
However if you order internationally, the package sticker will say what is in the package (salt/SN) in very small print.
That's required by law (for customs) and can't be changed.

So anyone who plans on ordering SN and has nosy roommates may want to start watching cooking shows and get very, very interested in the benefits of himalayan salt and health foods etc. Just as an idea.
