This world and life in general would have been much better if there was more love in it.

OK, so when you asked 'what is ash?' I felt like I was being hazed considering your name, like your name was a play on Ozymandias (not sure of spelling, the guy who accumulated wealth, but couldn't take it with him) and currently I can't use a search because I'm using a vpn, and they want me to verify I'm 'human' and I feel that is AI prejudiced. But I thought your name was a play on two concepts.

But I also get what a / means, and that you might not really want responses, although some part of you might.

Lol. Part of my name is Ash and Ozymandias refers mostly to the poem by Percy Shelley, though also the villain in Watchmen. Also, ash as in, ashes to ashes dust to dust ...

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—"Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

This is very off-topic and probably very inappropriate, but when I see your name, what I think about... I guess it was the year you were born, but for me, it was my last 'good' year, and at the time I had a relationship with a person of Macedonian heritage.

Yes I was born in 1987. Your last good year was 1987? Mine was back 2003. We have been both sad for a very long time.:aw:

I thought it might be a reference to alt.suicide.holiday, but now I wonder... is it biblical, the ashes thing, or a David Bowie thing? (I have never seen Watchmen, so I realize that might explain.)

I'm kind of a Mary Shelley/Frankenstein fan, but what you quoted was pretty.
