I'm 45 and in the same position. I don't feel that I am a burden on society, though. I didn't choose to have a debilitating mental illness that makes it not possible to undertake the necessary things to support myself independently. There are others, like you, in my position so it's not as though I'm the only one out here like that. You shouldn't feel a burden to society. Sometimes things are just the way that they are and there not mad much we can do about it. It can be sad and/or frustrating but it's okay.

same. I still depend on my parents I'd rather kill myself than live on the streets, it's too cruel out there I wouldn't survive having the mental health issues I have
I'm 27 and still currently live with my parents but they're kicking me out. I feel you. Im scared to sign a lease because that's just one more year I have to stay Alive so it's not a burden on my roommate.

24 and yes. I hate that I'm not good at math. I hate that I'm not smart enough for a high paying job. I hate the fact that I'm stuck under my parents' roof. It's honestly one of the reasons I want to ctb.
One of the only things that forces me to be at least somewhat productive and functioning is the knowledge that if I don't get my act together, I will have to move back in with my parents and thus wouldn't be able to ctb.

As someone pushing 30 it's very embarrassing that I am very dependent on my mother. I do have some reason for that as I have suffered multiple concussions which makes thought processing very difficult for me. I have no clue how to pay bills make important phone calls or a bunch of other adult stuff that people my age know by now. Whenever the day comes when I'm all by myself I'll be screwed.
