I wish i were never born in the first place. I often hold anger to my parents for having me, i even told my mom she was selfish for having me , this life has just been traumatic and painful. This is why il never have a kid, its a Huge gamble with a person's life. Every suffering they have is your fault and they didnt ask to be born. You are subjecting them to suffering and a cruel world. Sure it can have some joys but its mostly monotony, alot of work in a variety of ways and suffering all for nothing, i dont care about joyful moments since suffering is universal and death and pain is a surety you are also subjecting someone to trauma and a death sentence. Sure suicide and death is the next best solution but id rather not have experienced this in the first place, just leave me in my void of oblivion .

Not necessarily, if you have good genetics, looks , iq, money, good environment, good ethnicity, born in good nation should be allowed to reproduce
I hate my parents for giving birth to me and forcing me to exist

Why do you think that happiness lies in this? The main problem, giving birth to children, we leave them no choice.

and none of that makes them immune to suffering, look at all the rich, well off, good looking people that have killed themselves still.
nothing can prevent pain and suffering besides not being born.

There are a couple of threads from a guy on the board right now, who seemingly had all of this.

But it doesn't matter because parents don't get to choose their kids brain. Kids don't get made with only the good qualities from mom and dad.

Everything that is wrong with you could be passed on to your offspring. Procreation is not just selfish, it's evil.

People are out here making baby Frankensteins everyday. And they suffer no consequences. The children do all the suffering.

What would happen to a cereal manufacturer if they produced as many defective batches of product as humans do?

Anyway, if you absolutely "have" to procreate (you don't), then yeah - you should make damn sure you're giving your kids the best possible foundation in life.

But why tempt fate like that to begin with.

Don't think it's always selfish to have children but the majority of people should not of had/have children. A lot of people still think that meeting someone, get married, have children and work until you're dead is "what people do". Have children because you love kids, in a loving and rock solid relationship, and want to share your love. Even if I never have or wanted to ctb, I've decided long ago that children is not a good idea for me. I have mental health problems, several of them, and.if I can't put 100% into myself, how the fuck am I supposed to support children? Not to mention the affordability is thrown out the window lol. If I can figure this out, it can't be that obscure of knowledge.

My mom told me at 15yrs old that she considered aborting me when she learned of the pregnancy, that she went to planned parenthood and everything. She ended up not being able to go through with it because a super religious friend of hers converted her to Christianity. I'm only alive because some religious zealot guilted my mom into having me. I could have been spared all of this. I personally have no regrets over the abortion I had. I stand by my decision 100%

This is something that I think about every day even more lately considering one of my parents is planning on another kid. Fucking ridiculous that they're gambling with misery after witnessing my hand at life. And yes, life is literally a death sentence in and of itself. I was thinking about this right before logging on tonight. It feels as though all that this existence is is simply incarceration.

I really do feel the same way. Never having to be aware of this world is the best possible outcome and this is undeniable. The thing that bothers me is that all life is completely unnecessary, there was never a need to bring life here and yet life exists with so much endless suffering that is inevitably being experienced as a consequence of people choosing to selfishly procreate. It's always such a tragic thing bringing life here and nothing could justify it and make it sound like a reasonable thing to do.

All life exists just to deteriorate and die anyway so there is no point to this unnecessary existence, it serves no purpose other than to be a way to torture beings all for the sake of it. We should at least get the option of a peaceful and reliable suicide method, it's what we deserve after being unfairly forced in the world. But the fact that suicide is so difficult means it's like we are being punished because of the decisions of others to procreate. The truth is that no amount of words could describe my dislike for existing and how I hate that I was brought here.

I also wish I wasn't born in the first place because it has just been pain and suffering since I was born. I had some good moments here and there but the it's not enough with the amount of pain I have to endure and a lack of method available in this country for me to kill myself.

Same here. The truly happy moments are few and far inbetween while the immense suffering is a constant. I never asked for this, but I somewhat matured enough to not blame my parents or feel any ill will towards them for it.

Antinatalism for the win!
Sleep is good, death is better; but of course, the best thing would to have never been born at all.

I'm non-religious but I've always been impressed by the Buddha's assertion that all life is suffering. To exist in this world, we must contend with humiliation, broken dreams, sadness and loss. The problem, of course, is that from a religious perspective, not an existentialist one, most Buddhist traditions assert that suicide is a negative act, and should be avoided.

My parents had me just to have an extension of themselves and to fix that shitty relationship of theirs. I believe it's the same for most, if not all, people. We only exist to fill that void in someone else's lives. This is why I'm an antinatalist.

I can't wait to get out of here.
