Venting i wish I had cancer

when I was 8 years old I had a cousin around the same age, we used to play together on family gatherings and he was a nice kid

then he got leukemia, he would not want to play with me anymore due to lack of energy and when it was time to eat the grown-ups would make us compete on who ate everything first to encourage him to eat

I always won, but there was never a prize

and then he died, and I lived, and boy do I wish it was me in his place

he died as a kid, didn't had traumas, everybody was worried and loved him deeply, didn't work, didn't realize the horrors of the world

I wish I had cancer as a kid

It's an extremely slow and painful dying process though. Better hope for a cardiovascular exit.

Cancer always takes away the purest of souls. No one deserves cancer. It's a shame it attacks people who want to live and not those who want to die

yeah it saddens me deeply, he was such a nice person and probably would be so happy, life is very unfair

I envy those who died at a young age in general as it means they were spared from all future unnecessary suffering, at least those who are gone now are at peace even if they suffered in the process of dying.
