• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

often, when someone is on their deathbed (in the instance of old age or perhaps terminal illness), surrounded by family, there will be gentle encouragement to let go.

phrases such as "it's okay, you can go now." i know i've even personally done this when having pets euthanized, but i've witnessed it with human family members too.

i understand that i can't expect anyone in my life to say that or agree with the decision to ctb. i know this. i know that there is not a single person that i hold dear that will give me this comfort. but that's why this is simply a vent.

anyone have any thoughts on this, or similar feelings?

This is so relatable. Most people can't empathise because they've never felt suicidal before. I feel quite similarly to you; I want someone to accept my decision and let me die in peace, but I know that won't happen.

I've given up on trying to live tbh. I'm too exhausted

Yes !! I resonate with this a lot; I think it's part of the reason why I don't think I could ever ctb without a partner, just somebody there to watch/join me on a new chapter. I'm sorry that you feel like you can't find that comfort currently, but I hope you find peace either way :)

i totally get what you're saying. no matter how well i try to articulate my mental suffering, no one ever seems to grasp just how bad it is. it's not some minor inconvenience or an obstacle that's easy to overcome. i feel like if others could truly live in my head for a day, they'd get it.

Exactly it's a constant struggle that is very difficult to control. For me, it's difficult because I've been through things that the average person can't imagine, so finding someone who can show me empathy is hard
