Just wanted to let people know that this site is being pointed to on Youtube and other social media who are calling the site evil, the people on it murderers and saying this is murder by proxy. I was thinking to myself that the people who have died did their own research, ordered up and obtained the necessary items and carries out their own death. You cant blame a website for this. This is absurd. I am glad that these idiots that made these claims led me to a good place to vent from what i can see. Life under the nanny state gets so tiring.

i find it funny that so many people are trying to draw attention to these places to get them shut down but then give the exact name of them so people who are suicidal can go to them. they really have their heads in their asses
This is exactly what happened in my case. I also had a discussion with non-suicidal family members about the this site. MANY non-suicidal people think the site should stay up and continue to exist so long as minors are kept off the site. The people complaining about this site make it seem like their opinion is the only opinion. It appears to be the case that they are mistaken.

We all have the right to exit at a time of our own choosing after all, the people that ctb chose to leave, it was their life and their decision. I think a lot of anti choice people are delusional.

YouTube and facebook. There is a facebook group called StopSanctionedSuicide. First i saw a YouTube video on Ms. Shatto then stumbled on StopSanctionedSuicide and just put it all together, and no, i am not an infiltrator or something like that. I am pro-choice.
I was on Youtube watching final exit stuff and looking for instruction on the exit bag and inert gas methods. I stumbled on the video about Ms. Shatto. I had been searching facebook for any like minded groups and couldnt find any but instead i ran across StopSanctionedSuicide and honestly was offended by the comments on there blaming this website. I am from the old school generation who taught "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." I believe that in the sense that while yes mean and hateful words and bullying actually do hurt people, it is ultimately a the responsibility of the individual person for their actions. Words that people say to you cannot kill you. Murder by proxy is bullshit. Unless of course it is a literal conspiracy of people to plan to murder a person and carry it out. Its the same thing if i made a bomb. It is not the fault of the anarchist cookbook or some book on improvised weapons. I would say that making a bomb is much more malicious than self-termination but in either case the responsibility cant be laid on a book. It is in the action of the person.

Her name wasnt in the header of the video. She is mentioned in the video. Its there. The mother was on the video crying and calling the members here monsters and such and saying how she wants the people in charge of the site held responsible.
Apparently she is a person who used to be on this forum who used the SN method successfully.

This video evokes many questions. It seems like the creator was not a relative of someone who committed suicide. For me it seems like someone wanted to make some cheap money with the topic suicide. Even if I was in the shoes of the relatives I would never cooperate with such a person. There are many videos on youtube about suicide which just want to get clicks by the horrible fate of individuals. For example I saw that someone clickbaited with the dead body of Chester Bennington. I always find that horrible. In addition to that I would never want that someone sees my face on fucking youtube and being publicly announced as suicide victim. Especially because I am fully pro-choice and such videos are against my ethics. Moreover I hate those youtube videos who just show faces of people who committed suicide. There are too many people who gawk at that. Religious people can comment may you burn in hell. What I have already seen in the comments of youtube videos. (The youtuber commited suicide.)

Dr Nitschke was asked how he felt about the fact that a young person used their book to ctb. He said that if they didn't use his book to do it peacefully, they probably would use a gun or hang themselves which is the most common way people ctb.

It's so absurd. I am certain that this site is the very reason why lots of people haven't gone through with their suicide at least not yet. I use this site when my world becomes pitch black. I find comfort in not being all alone in my situation. And not feeling like I am completely left out in the dark. This site offers the possibility to relate with other people who are experiencing similar things. We need this community. The ones who decide to end their suffering would have done so regardless of this websites existence. People on this website does not push people to commit suicide.. it's the opposite of that.
To shut down websites like this is just to conceal the problem. If you hide something away it does not disappear.
As long as the world is like it's currently. Sites like this will pop-up as fast as they get taken down.

I too found this site from an article coming out against it, it was before the NYT article. So, I guess I should thank the pro-lifers for helping me to have a more peaceful CTB.
I dont think as many people hate this site as it seems. It appears to be just a loud minority that are attacking the site. Like i said earlier, all my family members think the site should remain. These are adults with children. Family people who fear their kids dying. You all have more supporters out there than you might realize its just that your opposition is very vocal.

These people don't know that this website only exists because the reddit forum got taken down. People need a medium that exists to vent about shit like this without risk of institutionalization, and people will always find or create one. It's human nature, and these youtubers are sadly in denial of it.

I don't wish to point fingers, but if the actions of these parents after their children's deaths is anything to go by, it does make you wonder what they were like when they were alive.
Do they honestly think their children wanted to be plastered all over the internet for everyone to know about their deaths, alongside photos of them and the rooms they died in? Alas, the sensationalist media-machine feasts upon it and so do the 'normies'.
Usually, the most vocal of people in these instances have a guilty or narcissistic complex - perhaps they now realise where they failed as parents and need somewhere to channel that frustration, but that is selfish. Just my opinion. Grief is overwhelming, but please, come on.
Either way, they're just fuelling the issues and are either totally clueless to the root issues (still), or they just don't really care because the attention is all on them.

This website does not kill 'vulnerable people', it supports us. It allows us (the suicidal) to talk frankly and openly about what has led us here in the first place, without all of the aforementioned hypocrisy.

Well she also blamed alot of suicidal people in the process. If she'd been a nicer mom her daughter wouldn't have killed herself or gone looking for this site in the first place. I stumbled on the site through looking at certain things online, so by complete accident. If I never looked I'd never have known how to access a site like this. Although something made me look at what I was looking at in order for me to accidentally stumble upon this website. It's not Antibes fault she died. Her mom's looking for someone to blame. She can't handle the fact that she just didn't make her daughter's life worth living. So it's easier to blame everyone else. If her daughter wanted to live she'd have shouted out for help. Her mom was only next door. Clearly she didn't want to live.
I agree in murder by proxy in my case but not in relation to this site. I mean although Ive got less than 14 hour to live had my biological family not abused me in the first place, had n not been failed by people in relation to being protected from my biological family and the list really does go on. I wouldn't be n a position where the police or someone will find my dead body tomorrow. So murder by proxy in relation to my biological family. They encouraged me to do it through abusing me and getting away with it. I told and I was failed. The authorities failed me. So yeah they're my murderers although I'll technically be comitting the act. Admittedly I wouldn't have known how to kill myself at this moment unless I'd joined the group BUT I would have eventually found out anyway. So I'm greatful for the group making me a somewhat expert in hangings. I literally barely knew anything about it which is surprising when you know my biological dad ctb when I was a baby. This group is supportive actually.
