So, first of all, I am not trying to self diagnose. I already have depression and anxiety diagnosis. But, lately I am having these symptoms that I THINK may be symptoms of agoraphobia, so if someone has it, has experience with it or just know about the illness pls give me tips and advice on what this may be and how to cope…

Basically, lately I've started to think everyone around me is laughing at me, judging me, or talking about me, even when I know it is not true, I just can't shake the thought out of my head. Also, I have trouble with anxiety about going anywhere outside of my house, especially uni. Mostly because of the first thing I said but also because I do not feel safe and protected anywhere, and I find any excuse to stay in the house; too hot, people around me are are scary etc etc
It is getting harder and harder. Sometimes I can beat it and go somewhere, but sometimes I just can't, I get so scared.

My doctor says that anxiety is getting better, but I do not see it.
I feel myself slipping away…

Maybe it could be trauma? If people and animals suddenly dissapeared, like in minecraft peaceful mode, could you go out? I think that can help you figure out if it truly is "fear of the outside" Or "fear of the things/people that are outside"

Honestly it sounds like you have Social Anxiety Disorder. A lot of what you're describing is what I go through as well and I was diagnosed by a medical professional when I was younger. It's definitely hard to do normal everyday things with that voice in the back of your head convincing you that something will go wrong no matter what.
A lot of my anxiety came from school and now that i've graduated its better since i'm not put into those situations before, but its def still there. Exposure therapy helps and i'm on medication and weekly therapy. If you need someone to talk to please pm me !!! Sending a lot of love❤️ you got this!

What meds do you take for it? I'm about to try meds for my issues probably this month, Im a bit scared of side effects, but hey, I'm not living a full life. I'm also getting diagnosed for autism/adhd, but that doesn't mean my social struggles resolve after I get a diagnosis :P

Currently I take paroxetine. With meds though you have to try so many different ones until you find one that has the least amount of side effects and works well for you :( and that took me like 2 years i think? The dosage can also affect it so they might decrease/increase it. Tbh meds help so much but I don't wanna be on it for my entire life so def go to therapy as well <3
