That is a nice pic. I love when clouds cover the ground beneath a mountain or hill like that.

In seriousness, jumping is probably more difficult for most people than drinking a liquid, feel sick and high heart rate, then fall asleep.

I wish I didn't have a horrible fear of heights so I could go like this. I can't imagine how bad I'd have to feel to be able to jump.

That's Beachy Head baby! Very accessible. Especially now lockdown's being eased. She's a real beauty for sure; I've got to at least pay her a visit at some point this spring.

Now falling from a height like that, does one die instantly or does one writhe around in pain for a while before dying?

Well at this point on the headland we're talking about around 400ft. But alas still no one can answer your question for sure but my feeling is as long as one doesn't land on one's feet one will surely face instant lights out.

From the highest spot on beachy head it should be instant even if you don't land on your head, the force of the deceleration could easily rip your organs away from the major arteries.

I have had the same thought very frequently. Jumping how accessible. Yet must one of the most difficult things to do.

You could also take SN as a precursor to make the fall look like an accident. Your legs get weak and you pitch forward over the cliff.

I love Beachy Head. An incredibly beautiful place to die. I went their to jump but my SI stopped me from jumping, sad as I can't think of a more beautiful place to die

I'd imagine I'd still choose SN. But I would be sitting at that peak, taking in that view. I couldn't imagine jumping for some reason. I was airborne for 6 years in the US Army so I have zero fear of heights, but the pressure during the approach, the fear, the second guessing, the intensity and the rush is something I'd want to avoid on my last day. Possibly the regret during the fall in addition to the flood of emotions also. I think in order for me to enjoy the end at a location like this I would choose something that would allow me take it all in while I sit there and fade peacefully.. or somewhat peacefully. But not violently.

Instant? I thought it would be several seconds. I'd have to be so drugged up and tumble over either way lol.

Are you sure it's Beachy Head?

I've considered going there, but never thought for a second it was as beautiful as this.

Yes it is, and that spot near the lighthouse is the place to go isn't it?
No doubt!

Is it a sheer drop, though, or would you be ripped to pieces on the way down?

Anyway, how about doing SN while sat here, taking in the view?

No idea.
How close to the edge can one get without rousing suspicion? I'd take my ami, let it kick in and fall. I cannot jump.

Stuff of nightmares (at least for us)

Beachy Head faller plunges 250ft and SURVIVES with just cuts and bruises after 'wrecking £80,000 car driving to clifftop' A man had a miracle escape after plunging 250ft down one of Britain's tallest cliffs and escaping with only cuts and bruises.

Not if you're smart and play it out right.

How exactly? I suppose a group looks less suspicious. Personally, I'd only be able to do it, psychologically, at night anyway. Could injure people below, weather warming up now Risky.

You hear of these freak things happening all the time. How did he wreck his car just by driving to the clifftop? Or did he drive over the edge.
