• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It is a ideology I believe in mainly because my family/childhood was very much in its own grave to start. Given this economy as well its hard to be fully independent in my field. I would like to think that God gives second chances to those who had a horrible life in the first. I survived and triumphed through so much, and I continue to do so but economics and life just becomes increasingly hard. You have people like me with 2000+ job applications, networking, etc. for the chance of an interview that could possibly pay for rent, food, water, healthcare, and then you have Trump and the Billionares with what they use a day being something I could live on the rest of my life. I've worked my butt off to escape horrible households, only to graduate from an amazing college and then getting laid off from my first job. Company's fault, whatever, we keep going and try again. Keep applying, but entry level jobs require 2-7 years of experience?? I have been running from horrible situations, surviving, not living, for as long as I have been alive.

I want to breathe deep, let my shoulders rest, let myself be bored and calm. I envy those who have that. Death is the closest I can get. It seems peaceful. Maybe in my next life it will be different. Maybe not. I am proud of how far I have come and what I achieved. Maybe in my next life I can have a family, be loved, not have to keep running. Be supported in what I want to do, ambitious or not.

i REALLY dont mean to self advertise but please read my post on philosophical pessimism, (you dont have to okay) https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...ost-my-view-of-the-world.229265/#post-3348251

statistically speaking, for about 550 million years of active sentient evolution, most sentient creatures that came into existence died due to predation followed by parasitism. that means if you entertain the idea of reincarnation, youre getting eaten alive over and over again nonstop .

humans are on the top of the food chain yet we still suffer from the clash of subjective values. here are some subjective values that clash with other beings
subjective values of:
religion
-causes religious wars between groups
-kills people who fails to conform to its standards
beauty
-reinforces poor self esteem, suicide, bullying, and eugenics etc. the brains ability to say someone is a 9.9/10 means their brain is capable of finding immutable characteristics unfavorable which is a source of conflict. look at how badly people treat each other once the score goes down even more.
social status
- reinforces feelings of worthlessness, if you are not a talented intellectual or an athlete or a hardworking skilled blue collar worker, you are made to feel worthless, and its not even necessarily your fault, maybe you are physically disabled , mentally stunted/disabled/challenged unwell, or maybe you are just not interested in existence.
hunger
-consumption is violence , both direct and indirect , its directly violent if you eat animals (you exploit the life of an animal for your own hunger), it is indirectly violent when you eat vegetables, when you eat vegetables, you exploit the ecosystem (usually agricultural ecosystem) in which you get your vegetables/fruit, you kill insects and small rodents like mice and birds, and you may have to kill predators that like to eat fruits like bears, even if you kill the small insects and rodents, you effect the entire food web which causes death, so even if you are vegan, though veganism is more ethical than omnivorism/carnism you are still not ethical.
*some other examples of subjective values
-drunk driving : someone's value system judging that its okay for them to drive under the influence and put others lives at risk)
-workplace entitlement : if you're a skilled sushi chef that does a ton of tedious work, and your boss tells you to clean more shrimp, or isn't paying you enough, you can have a dispute that can end many relationships within the workplace, or end a husband and wife relationship if its a family business, on a large scale, business owners feel entitled to pollute the environment for their own gain (killing the future generations and their wellbeing(causing global warming)), or manipulate resources like water that effects others getting it.
-subjective morality: you can argue with people forever and you will reach a gray area in which you cant explain what's right or wrong) arguments over morality has also probably killed hundreds of millions of people throughout history. (example is politics, socialism vs capitalism vs marxism vs capitalism vs communism etc)

life is a bucket of crabs where the net suffering far exceeds net pleasure, and pleasure is only superficial and materialistic. even if you were at the top, all that means is you are exploiting others, so can you be happy if you are at the top if you know that your happiness is sustained by the weight of the pressure of value systems crushing things beneath who cant reach those standards?

when i die, permanent non existence would be the most ideal.

No thanks. Failing at life once is enough for me

Same. I'm basically banking on the possibility of reincarnating into better circumstances than the ones I was given in this life.
And even if I'm not, quite frankly, every other concept of what happens after death, whether it be complete non-existence or some form of eternal afterlife, scares the hell out of me.
Once again tapping the sign, can't even tell you how many times I have posted this image to the forum over the years.
