I am so depressed I can barely function properly, and in light of this I am having a miserable time cleaning up my affairs so that I can leave with a semblance of dignity.

Does anyone have any insight on how I can sustain myself in the time before I CTB?

Am delaying my departure for no other reason than my life is a mess and I don't want my executor and friend to be burdened with my piles of shit.

You need a way to distract yourself, it will help you sustain yourself long enough until you have everything in order.

While I don't want to sound like one of those pro-life assholes, but doing some sort of fitness helps. Remember, our mind is only as healthy as our body is. If you spend even a half hour a day doing basic stretches or doing basic exercises, it will go a long way.

Remember to drink green tea with matcha, green tea soothes the soul.

You can find all the information you need on Youtube.

I want to ban you so much right now :-$

I feel very similar @Smilla - I think I'm having no choice but to take it a day at a time. I feel for you

Sorry you're going through these moments. Suicide shouldn't have a deadline, but let you pace yourself as you close up loose ends, get your affairs in order, etc. and for days like these, then it's okay to take a break. Sleep, find another distraction, until you're back into it again. A day at a time, no rush, you're in control.

I enjoy me with small things like watching YouTube and sport. I don't think for a second that these are possibly my last days. The planning of my ctb helps me forward. Because there's nothing after that.

Hey no offense but if I can't even have the energy to grocery shop or even shower why would I want to exercise? Not being rude I just don't get why you give recovery advice to people trying to ctb? Correct me if I'm wrong

Not trying to give recovery advice. But when you're at the point she's at, and you're still trying to get everything together and in proper order, it helps to have an outlet to clear your head and relieve that stress. She's absolutely determined at this point and I respect that, immensely. TBH, I don't believe any sort of recovery advice is going to sway her, and that's not why I posted that.

Getting everything in order is a brutal process, and having some sort of a means to address that stress is sometimes necessary. I exercise rigorously, it helps me keep my head on straight.

Thanks for explaining. I was just like wtf. But when you put it that way... I understand. You're just trying to be a good guy. No harm no foul

Ever tried adderall? Or any of the stimulant meds? If u can get in to see a psych these drugs can really improve your energy and motivation in the short term for awhile, but just know u will need to take breaks for some days every so often or it stops working. I think Ritalin and adderall are at least affordable. The time released versions get more expensive and they aren't necessary. Instant release still effective. Because u sound like u are barely functioning I would absolutely get in to see a psych for like a mild antidepressant like Prozac. That one is not terribly addictive and mild. I never experienced much if any side effects from it. It won't make u happy it just takes the edge off so u can feel a bit more functional. If you do get on a stimulant u will need clonazepam to help sleep. A low dose. As the people above mentioned, if it's possible for u to exercise at all that can really improve your functioning, but u said u are barely functioning so I can't see u starting to workout in this state. Sometimes a med is necessary if u are extremely down just to take edge off so u can function enough to put affairs in order.

I actually thought of adderrall—haven't taken psych meds before except self prescribed Xanax which I ordered online.

Thank you for your thoughtful response.

Try learning a new skill, anything that you could be interested in even of its going outside and looking at plants. You can also try to start a garden depending on time.

Ooh, I love, love, love Starbucks iced green tea latte. They use matcha powder. Ever had one?? I may treat myself tomorrow.

Smilla, try not to get too tangled up in preparing for the end so that life becomes even more of a burden than it already is. Do what you can, take a break, do some yoga or meditation and then go back to it. Realize though, it will never be perfect. Life just doesn't work that way. There is no "perfect".

***hugs*** to you my friend!

The only possible escape from this without CTBing is anti depressants. I'm sure you are on them already but you can try out different anti depressants or have the dosage increased. I was like you until I started taking a high dosage of Lexapro and Abilify. EDIT: This is with a high dosage of Wellbutrin.

Is rexulti like abilify? rexulti was the scariest drug I tried for major depression. It's good if u want to be pushed into active suicidal action from being normally passive suicidal. It won't let u sleep, and your brain will not shut down. Within two weeks of this you just want to jump off a tall building.

Are you experiencing any side effects with Abilify?

It made me hungry and sleepy all the time until I started taking Phentermine to counteract that shit. But now, I'm starting to feel sleepy all the time, again. It's better than being so depressed, I can barely move though.

If its going to be a lot of work to get things in order, I wouldnt bother with it then. I have a few things to get in order and they just seem like too much right now, lately it's just gotten really bad and there's nothing I can really do so I might just leave things open but I know how you feel.
Hugs!
