I've been up for about 10 hours now, and nothing seems real. I don't know if my friend was successful or is currently in a psych ward of some hospital. I keep checking the news in her town, and haven't seen anything. I sent one text, and didn't get a reply...

If she did succeed, I'm going to be joining her soon... Because I don't want to be part of a world that forced her to do this.

Thanks. Nothing impulsive. I somehow managed to make it through work today, even led several meetings. Just probably going to move up my timeline.

No, and I've been checking everything I can think of. I'm so tempted to call the cops or hospital in her town, but I'm worried that somehow if she's alive, that would make things worse for her... I could never let my feelings outweigh her safety and freedom.

The person lives in another country. I actually just visited them, but given their situation, going back and asking question would bring a lot of suspicion on me. They don't have a home number, and I don't really know the person they lived with well. I don't have their roommate's number and no easy way to get it.

Even calling the hospital doesn't seem like a great idea. The only thing left for you to do is keep checking the news and wait. Or if she had any social, check there

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm on all her socials, so if something comes up, I'll get a notification.

I found out today definitively that she succeeded. After 21 days, I was pretty sure, but there was always that glimmer of hope that I would get a message that she was ok. That we would get together again soon and check out Toronto or Montreal like we planned.

I am very lucky to have met her. It truly was by chance - if I logged in 10 minutes later that day we probably would have missed what actually brought us together. We didn't know each other long, but I am so much better for having had this very special person in my life.
