I may ctb in a rented cottage

For the longest time I was planning to ctb at home. But I am tired of this environment and it hasn't felt like a home since the death of my mother. I was looking at some nice cottages in Edinburgh and I feel it would be the perfect place to book a nice wee cottage for a few days. I have lovely memories of the city and it feels like a good place to die. Plus, I won't be disturbed and somebody will have to find me after my stay is up. It would be a lot better than a hotel because I will have more of a homely space and possibly less interruptions. There is also a nice beach nearby that I could visit before I decide to end it. Any thoughts?

It's better than a shitty town in a semi-shitty motel/hotel. I think anywhere is shitty, but it sounds better than many options of place.

Your housekeeper might not be too thrilled to find you dead there, along with authorities. I'm not saying this to be cruel, just want to remind you that someone will have to live with that traumatic memory for the rest of their own lifespan.

Yes, but it is no different to someone having to find me in my own house, is it? As a token of good will, I'll leave them a nice note and some extra cash. I'm sure they will get over it. At least I am not jumping out in front of a train or something violent like that.

I probably wouldn't. I'd be too concerned with the damage I'd cause to the cottage and how much that'd cost the owner. If I ctb I'll do it in a forest, where next to no cleanup is needed. After I watched one of those crime scene cleanup vids on Youtube I realized how much a dead body can mess up a house, plus I'd ruin the property value of a perfectly nice little cottage.

I probably wouldn't. I'd be too concerned with the damage I'd cause to the cottage and how much that'd cost the owner. If I ctb I'll do it in a forest, where next to no cleanup is needed. After I watched one of those crime scene cleanup vids on Youtube I realized how much a dead body can mess up a house, plus I'd ruin the property value of a perfectly nice little cottage.

Yeah, I could see that being an issue if you were to blow your head off or something violent like that. I will just be laying down in a bed (maybe a bit blue) after drinking Sodium Nitrite.

Just make sure to set some sort of time delay message, so that they can find your body before it starts defecating and decaying.

I'll be visiting for 3 days. I will end it on the 2nd, so no need for email. I don't understand the controversy. People die all the time in all sorts of strange places. That's just life.

Idk, maybe it is just because I have a very strong "don't do to others what you don't want to happen to yourself" mentality. I mean, if I have control over my death I am making it as little of nuisance as possible.

Yeah, I understand all that but somebody will have to find your body (when the time comes) as well. It's just life and death. It's a messy affair regardless of what precautions you may take.

I was told it would be better to CTB in one of national chains of hotels because they have a means to deal with such cases.

Funny enough I went to a hotel recently and they had two locks on the door lol.

I thought about sticking a warning sign on bathroom's door so only police enters but you never know if someone from staff enters casually to clean something even with "Do not disturb" sign on door's knob.
