I've chosen a heroin overdose as my suicide method due to the unaffordability of nembutal. I've chosen a peaceful method to hopefully give some solace to those who loved me.

I have no idea how to self-administer heroin though. I want to use a full gram, is that even possible? And if so, how much water should I dissolve it in? How much citric acid would I need to help break it down?

I'll gratefully receive any information. I'm giving myself a couple of weeks to get my affairs in order and to figure out how I'm going to guarantee I don't wake up, and what I can say to the people who will grieve me so they don't grieve too terribly. Thank you!

If you're planning to IV this and you've never done that before you might want to reconsider and use a higher dose orally or rectally or even IM. 1g is about ten times the normal recreational dose prepared for injecting and more than three times what most would consider a "large" dose. It's going to be difficult to dissolve and will require more water and acid, which means using a bulkier syringe and makes everything harder/more risky. You're also going to have the possibility of passing out before finishing.

If you're really set on trying this then practice with saline or water for injection first and read up carefully on harm reduction and safer practices:
