recommend doing softer things like:
- art about ur gory thoughts, however that manifests (Ai art is good for this)
- reading news articles about gory / violent accidents (they often have censored or cut videos)
- watching a gory movie like someone else said, although sometimes the violence can be sensationalized
- listening to music that's more intense
- listening to screams / violent sounds or sound effects
- writing ur thoughts down

all the love if u do decide to search liveleak kinda stuff, that stays in ur brain forever

I used to watch that stuff and honestly it's not worth it. Even for excitement you eventually start to lose it and seek more disturbing things. In my opinion it's a lot like addiction and I wouldn't go for it apart from gory movies or if you really want to watch it I'd stop at suicides with certain methods for research purposes.

If you really want to reddit is a good place for softer things although 'soft' is still extremely gruesome and possibly mentally taxing.

In the end it's your choice whether or not to watch it, I just very strongly recommend against watching that stuff especially if you're in a bad place mentally.

Please don't, as the others have mentioned it's not worth it. I was reading a thread about gore earlier and someone mentioned a site. Curiosity got the better of me and now I'm horrified. It was much worse than I thought it was gonna be. I really wish I ignored that thread altogether :(

I'd like to add to this:
- Gory animation / art I believe it is called 'gurokawa'
There's also a lot of gory anime, a few names pop up that are Tokyo Ghoul ,Elfien Lied & Higurashi.

If you REALLY insist then I'd go with what I just mentioned, I think you'd be able to find certain clips of especially gory moments if you just want to see that.

Also a lot of gore can be really intense, most of the clips online even on softer sites like reddit can be nothing short of horrific. I've seen a lot of and it killed all faith I have in humanity. Not trying to scare you out of it just being a bit blunt.

You shouldn't. I've watched a lot of disturbing things (don't think I can describe them) that to this day I couldn't forget, even if I tried.

It's a form of self harm, and your mental state could worsen because of it. I know mine did, and it was partially because of that. Don't just traumatize yourself to quench your boredom. It's not worth it.

Everyone here is telling you to stay away from gore and since you said you feel scared, I would suggest the same. But some people can actually benefit from gore for different reasons and the most common one is that seeing a gruesome death prevents them to commit the same.

I admit being a horrible person but watching gore helps me calm down from turning aggressive and mad. It prevents me from causing harm that I would definitely regret later.

I have seen one case although I'm not sure of it's legitimacy. I remember seeing a post of a shock site on how watching people commit suicide or die did save him from committing such acts, if I recall correctly it was because of how blunt and gruesome the reality of suicide is.

I think it hypothetically can but isn't a hypothetical you should go for because it isn't proven to be helpful (to my knowledge) and assuming it can be I still believe it'd be more harmful in the long run.

I'd assume the op is more chronically suicidal since most people here are so I doubt the effectiveness of prevention technique so I'd overall advise against it.

I know there's a few suicides with methods on here (I've only seen a night-night one) so I'd recommend watching those instead of possibly more brutal deaths since it has an added benefit of comfort or if due to seeing it the op decides to not ctb.

Overall still not worth it imo.

I personally think it's horrible how websites exist that are dedicated to suffering and torture. It just proves that humans are the worst species and that this world is a hellish and disgusting place.

I don't recommend it. At least, realistic gore or gore through live action media.

However if the urge is there, go for art and animation. But be careful. Art and animation gives you a more fantasised feel for gore and it doesn't desensitise you as much as live action gore does. To be frank, I just think it's a bad idea in general to get into gorey media, it gets bad, and worse. Not something you can so easily pull back from and it drives your mind crazy.

Many sights to see. Although, the experience depends on what kind of person you are. I have never really been addicted to it or disturbed personally.
