the next reality tv idiot/youtuber I see say "I have disassociative identity disorder" then turn around and do some stupid fucking ritual and "change people" I swear to god I'm gonna have a meltdown.

I developed distinct identities due to trauma, it's involuntary, and it's not some goofy ass switch that you get to do on que that makes you an entirely different human being in 5 seconds, and it's very rarely so distinct you could just immediately notice.

I have gender dysphoria on top of it, and it's literal hell to experience, I go back and forth from feeling like an abused teenager to an abused child to a psychopathic person, it's not some outward goofy ass change where I change my name and act entirely differently, but it is an internal change where I don't feel like I'm the same person in the ways that matter to me.

It just fucking amazes me how disconnected the average human being is from how psychology actually works.

Feel you, I think, even tough either me nor my therapist are absolutly sure if it's "real" or "just" hypochondria.

For me, the worst thing about it is to condemn the sometimes happy little girl to an early death. It hurts so damn much.
The second worst thing is the hatefully, "psychophatic" adult, who wants to kill everyone.

I agree, it's more about the feeling of being another person....
