Well yeah, the tourists stay in the nice parts of the city or country completely avoiding the absolutely bad parts of it because why they would even risk their life to see such places if it means putting their lives at risk in a country they don't even understand themselves. It's the same where I'm from, people come for the nice parts or don't come at all because foreigners will get targeted for their shit and even killed when they come here for holiday.

I've been to 8 different countries, and with varying degrees (and factoring in short visits vs actually living there), I miss the generally more open-minded attitudes I found elsewhere.

US ranks highest for me (was an actual Resident for years), UK second (third most time spent).
Maybe having a sizable immigrant population plus a very, very widely shared language enables more open mindedness and opportunity to connect, idk.

So, yes, I am an antinatalist, a eugenicist, and yes, I am happy to, sometimes, when I have the means and the health that follows, to go and travel elsewhere, for my mental health!!!!

Hey, im french too and definitely can relate to everything u said. Its crazy how i feel like everyone here are so close minded. People are always trying to find conflict where there's none. And i really see it in the lack of respect people are giving to the lgbt community compared to the rest of the western countries.
