You might be onto something, at least I ponder the possibility myself. What if our beliefs, wishes and thoughts somehow influence our material lives? I mean not to lay any burdens on anyone, I am in the same position as you guys and contemplate death and suicide quite regularly. But still I seem to observe many people here constantly ingraining thoughts that life is meaningless and only suffering, that the world is utterly terrible, and by that I believe their perceptions are altered to perceive life in this way more strongly. Reality, even if there surely are lots of suffering, is perhaps more nuanced and complex than just that? There is good here also, in your lives as well. May there be something about focusing on the flower instead of the weeds, the light instead of darkness? Can we alter our mental and physical health gradually by practicing gratitude and the ability to shift our awareness on what is good until we actually experience more of just that?
If our mental life influence our physical; and many will contend that there is in fact a strong correlation between body and mind, you might be right if I understood you correctly.
